My role is to help companies do action and results-oriented planning, making the most of their sales/marketing investment. Really listening to customers to unearth their true business issues is an "art." Do it well ... priorities become obvious, and your business focus crystal clear. Do it poorly (or not at all) - and risk being referred to as a company that "doesn't have a clue." There are more of those out there than anyone wants to admit. Don't be one of them.

I am a member of the Senior Management Team at Industrial Controls, now working to help make the integration with ERIK's a success. I am responsible for a geographic territory and several collateral duties, including a specific line of business. From October 1999 to January 2013 (13 years 4 months) Greater Milwaukee AreaExecutive Vice President @ As Executive Vice President, I led the reorganzation of the business focus to vertical markets ... allowing for a more profitable use of resources commensurate with the relative opportunities. I led the company's first significant strategic planning activities, and formal sales improvement efforts. From October 1997 to October 1999 (2 years 1 month) Director of Distribution @ Over a span of almost twenty-five years I progressed from sales engineer to director of third party distribution. Along the way, responsibilities included marketing manager of an $85 mil. division, business unit manager for the heating business, and the initiator of a new channel of distribution for direct sales to automation contractors ... the ABCS program. I worked for eighteen months with McKinsey and Company, while employed by Johnson Controls. The results were a product line strategy, business unit strategy, and the institutionalizing of McKinsey's methodology. From 1974 to 1997 (23 years)
