From 2001 to 2004 (3 years) President @ Penn State Collegian Alumni Interest Group As president for three years and board member for 10, in 2000, brought the new and fledgling alumni organization into the forefront of leading alumni organizations, gaining attention from PSU board of trustees, through reorganization, board development and broad alumni engagement, active outreach and creative event planning earning the organization the 2002 AIG of the Year Award. In 2003, as a stronger and empowered organization, the Collegian AIG seeded and eventually published "The Collegian Chronicles", a history of Penn State through the pages of The Collegian, one of the country's longest continuous publishing independent student-run daily newspapers. From August 2010 to 2015 (5 years) Media Contact @ "The Joe We Know" -March 16- Letterman Tell Story of Paterno Legacy,"The Grand Experiment" My pro-bono role besides the behind the scenes strategizing with event producers was in media relations which produced three different network (see Trib link below) online and two newspaper articles, whereby the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (see PG link below) article grabbed the greatest attention which moved enough ticket sales to fill roughly 30% of The Oaks Theatre culminating in over 1200 fans from five states who viewed the 57 minute documentary on March 16, 2013. As for the film’s impact, many audience members were seen laughing and crying and otherwise strongly moved by the profound impact this one man had and continues to have, on so many. Each of three Saturday Pittsburgh screenings were followed by over 27 Lettermen who came back to see the film including former Pittsburgh Steeler Franco Harris, fielded Q&A from audience members. Besides being a successful show of support from fans for the producers of “TJWK” and the Letterman reunion, patrons & sponsors earned over $7,000 to benefit the Joe and Sue Paterno Library Endowement Fund.
