Senior Vice President Operations @ Perdure Petroleum, LLC Perdure Petroleum manages and develops long life oil properties through Carbon Dioxide flooding Allen, TexasManager of Reservoir Studies/Strategic Team Member @ Encore Acquisition Company Manager for improved oil recovery engineering for Encore’s Rockies properties as well as the company advisor on all technical reservoir issues. The largest assest was the Cedar Creek Anticline. A 50 year old complex of oil fields wiht in excess of 4 billion barrels of oil originally in place. This makes a huge target for improved oil recovery methods. Both CO2 and High Pressure Air flooding have been studied. This involved detailed petrophysical, reservoir and simulation studies. Designed a CO2 flood for the Bell Creek Field which is a large Muddy Formation field in the northern Power River Basin. Supervised a waterflood improvement and potential EOR project in the Elk Bain Field Madison zone. From 2000 to 2009 (9 years) Ft Worth, TxReservoir Engineering Advisor @ Union Pacific Resources Lead reservoir engineer for Gulf of Mexico offshore was responsible for evaluating and redeveloping older shelf properties. This has involved all aspects of reservoir and petrophysical engineering. I created various large databases for use by multi-disciplinary teams. My previous assignment was finding new horizontal drilling opportunities for the Austin Chalk team and special projects. I was also part of a small development team which created a corporate well log archival and retrieval system. Prior to this assignment, I worked in the Rockies Profit center where I handled all reservoir engineering, property acquisitions, and exploration support. This work was primarily in tight gas sands in SW Wyoming. From July of 1993 through March of 1995, I supported all UPRC’s new ventures. During this time, I was involved in screening many deals and supported two major in-house exploratory programs. The first was a successful program to explore, develop, and purchase properties in British Columbia. This required me to handle all petrophysical analysis, completions, reservoir engineering, and purchase evaluations for the Canadian Team. The second was a 3D seismic play in the Eastern Shelf area of West Texas where I again handled all engineering aspects of a 35 well exploratory play. Starting in mid 1991, two years were spent heading special projects which focused on unconventional gas such as tight sands and coal bed methane. I conducted a detailed study of the Echo Springs/Wamsutter area of SW Wyoming. Three hundred well logs and 50 well tests were analyzed and then incorporated into the simulation study. The result was the successful down spacing and redevelopment of the entire area. I was also technical consultant in our efforts to evaluate Coal Bed Methane on our Granted Lands. From January 1989 to July 2000 (11 years 7 months) FT Worth, TxStaff Reservoir Engineer/Rocky Mountain Prod Eng Manager @ Union Pacific Resources Was responsible for reservoir management and development for Offshore California, and the tight gas sand reservoirs in the DJ and Green River Basins. As Production Engineering Manager, I directed a staff of five engineers and two engineering aides and was responsible for the timely completion and presentation of all economic and petrophysical evaluations for the Rocky Mountain Division. This included development well proposals, lease purchases, completion recommendations and support of exploration activities. In addition, was responsible for the coordination and forecasting of production volumes, expenses, and capital for budgeting and planning purposes. From August 1984 to January 1989 (4 years 6 months) Englewood, CoProduction Coordinator @ Champlin Petroleum Primary representative to upper management for the presentation of engineering studies, reports, and recommendations for consideration and approval. I was responsible for the review of all major projects prior to corporate and management approval. Other responsibilities included; the coordination and review of well and project post evaluations, updating management as to significant development drilling activity, production levels, and major project status From May 1983 to August 1984 (1 year 4 months) Ft Worth, TxReservoir Engineer @ Champlin Petroleum Company Redeveloped and maintained a very large waterflood in the Wilmington field. Prepared waterflood reserves and economic analysis for the field. Evaluated CO2 project welltests and production results. Initiated, designed and evaluated Huff"n"Puff steam stimulation. Completed my Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering while working full time. From August 1981 to May 1983 (1 year 10 months) Wilmington, CaSenior VP Operations @ Tabula Rasa Energy Responsible for all production and development operations at Tabula Rasa Energy which consist of natural CO2 source and CO2 enhanced oil recovery fields. Allen, TexasDirector of Reservoir Technologies @ Denbury Resources Responsible for creating, recruiting and leading a new technical group reporting to the Senior Vice President. My reports are the Manager of Corporate Reserves, Reservoir Simulation Manager, Chief Geologist and Chief Reservoir Engineer. The current staff of 26 is responsible for taking Denbury to the next level and becoming the leader in CO2 flooding technology. The design and implementation of enhanced oil recovery projects demands thorough reservoir engineering and geological understanding as wells as problem solving skills. My teams provide Petrophysical, Geomodelling, Sedimentology, Simulation, Field Studies, Flood Design, New Technology Research and Alliances, and Best Practices to engineering and geology. Previous assignment was as the Reservoir Engineering Manager West Region where I directed and mentored a team of nine reservoir engineers and five technical aides responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and budgeting of CO2 floods in the Western Region with an annual budget of $200 million. I also supervised the budget and reserves bookings for this area and report to the VP of the West Region.• Initiated a 200 mmscfd CO2 flood in the Delhi field with a production response to date of 5,000 BOPD.• Initiated a 200 mmscfd CO2 flood in the Oyster Bayou Field. First production Q1 2012.• Initiated a 150 mmscfd CO2 flood in the West Hastings Unit which will grow to 1 Bcfd. First production Q1 2012.• Team designing a CO2 flood for the Conroe Field starting in 2015. From May 2009 to April 2013 (4 years) Plano, TxReservoir Engineer @ Southern California Gas Company A member of the Reservoir Engineering group designing and supporting the underground storage of natural gas. Managed and monitored the Montabello Field for lost gas to shallow zones as well as optimized well performance. Reservoir engineer on the inital design of the Ten Section gas storage field. Extensive work in well test analysis, material balance, nodal analysis, logging and simulation. From January 1979 to August 1981 (2 years 8 months) Greater Los Angeles Area
