She has over 15 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. In a medical outpatient setting Rebecca currently provides services to children/adolescents and their families dealing with behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, and autism spectrum disorders as well as families facing various medical stresses.
Rebecca specializes in working with families of children with externalizing behavioral disorders as well as developmentally appropriate, yet challenging, behaviors. In addition to her work at Fletcher Allen Health Care Rebecca has started a private practice focused on providing parent education and consultation in collaboration with providers at Essex Pediatrics. This practice aims to assist parents with the difficult task of raising children using a balanced approach which employs strategies from a variety of theoretical backgrounds and presents them in a way that is easy to understand and apply to everyday life. Rebecca has considerable experience working with school staff and other professionals seeking consultation. She is frequently called upon to present at workshops, inservices, and conferences.
