I've been in the field of education for over 20 years. My focus is on quality early childhood education. As a trainer it is my goal to provide relevant and current workshops with the most up to date research. My training philosophy is that all workshops should be easily accessible and understandable while providing participants with information that can be directly applied to their classroom practice.
As a consultant, I strive to provide program administrators and teachers with individualized guidance and mentoring about best practices in early childhood education. I work with program administrators and teachers to problem solve the best ways to achieve thier goals.
I have used the Maryland Model for School Readiness as a public school Kindergarten teacher. I have been training preschool teachers on this model, which is aligned with the Maryland State Department of Education's expectations for school readiness. I am also an Infant-Toddler Environmental Rating Scale (ITERS) certified evaluator and consultant.

From February 2008 to Present (7 years 11 months) trainer @ Developed training curriculum, including training for Maryland's Healthy Beginnings guidelines, revisions for Maryland Model for School Readiness training, and various other workshops and train the trainer sessions From 2008 to 2011 (3 years) Trainer, Consultant @ I provide training for child care providers, Head Start, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten teachers. I also do consulting work with child care centers, focused on program improvement.
