Electronics Design for Test Engineer (eDFT) @ SCHLUMBERGER, Houston, TX 2011 – Present
Electronics Design for Test Engineer (eDFT)/Manufacturing Test Engineer
Responsible for Design and Development of Functional Automated Tests for Downhole tool PWAs. Development includes hardware (ATE interface, fixture & harness) and software for statistical analysis, functional tests, documentation and hardware qualification; and training /deployment at the Contract Manufacturer (CM)
• Managed and collaborated global eDFT teams and successfully delivered test set-ups supporting global centers.
• Managed out-sourced test developments at multiple contractors including scheduling, planning, budgeting, hardware/software design and development.
• Trained and led manufacturing engineers and contract manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve PWA and fixture related failures enabling timely delivery to support production.
• Developed and implemented new processes to maintain and track the on time test delivery and to evaluate and track the performance of a test in manufacturing.
• Led internal investigations for root-cause analysis of PWA and process related issues and established mitigation methods to improve process efficiency using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• New Product Development (NPD): Partnered with the design/engineering teams to develop testable designs (Design for Test) create test plans and assist with component selection, which proved to increase the quality of our service as a company to our internal/external customers, manufacturing and contract manufacturers.
• Organized and led periodic meetings with multiple project stake holders to present the projects progress, challenges and reprioritize as needed.
• Analyze and evaluate the AOI, Takaya flying probe test coverage for the PWAs to plan for the prototype inadequacies in next build or incorporate in functional tests.
• Educated and evaluated employees on safe work practices enabling reduction in employee injuries. From May 2011 to Present (4 years 7 months) Houston, Texas AreaProduct Engineer @ Responsible for multi-site wafer level test development and maintenance in automotive division.
• Accomplished test time reduction, manufacturing cost reduction by utilizing maximum low cost tester resources on the multisite (X16) test program for automotive airbag device.
• Designed and developed a unique test plan for flash memory cells using code composer Studio on the bench which was able to identify a failure mode.
• Designed and developed probe level test programs to meet customer specifications that ensure the reliability of the product. This includes post silicon test development, validation and characterization for 300mm silicon wafers.
• Conducted program audits, data analysis (Data Ware, Test Ware, Spot fire), data characterization, yield enhancement for the existing flash, functional & parametric tests and patterns.
• Organized and led approval requests to the automotive division change control board, for test program changes
• Trained new employees in flash testing, UNIX/LINUX environment and different tests used to validate the Device Under Test (DUT). From January 2008 to May 2011 (3 years 5 months) Houston, Texas AreaSoftware Development Intern @ • Developed Software to computerize all the transactions within the organization using Oracle and Visual Basic From August 2002 to March 2003 (8 months) India
