Austin Consultants are a system integration company specialising in software automation of test and measurement systems. I have grown the company from Sole Trader to 13 members of staff and contractors since founding the company in 2005. Austin Consultants is a National Instrument Alliance partner and the UKs highest certified LabVIEW™ consultancy. The company has been set up so that my team have the ability to work completely remotely via secure cloud based operations. We pride ourselves on employing the best programmers in the country and providing them with training to receive top industry qualifications including Certified LabVIEW™ Architect and Certified LabVIEW™ Developer. We have also put two members of the team through their NI Certified Professional Instructor course who have since been asked by National Instruments to teach their own courses. We have worked on international projects in America, Europe, UAE and Australia with clients including Airbus, Honeywell, Siemens, British Olympic Rowing, Fluke, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz F1 and E.ON. All of our projects fall within the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems which we have maintained for seven years. We have designed and built a range of software products including an XY Plotter, an off the shelf Flow Controller and Creep Lab software suite. Since founding the company, my role has also included: - Appointing a Board of Directors - Project managing a number of technical Automated Test Equipment, control and data acquisition projects, involving the use of Lasers, Hydro flow, plasma filters, silicon wafer bonding, security systems, actuator test rigs, Fusion Reactors to name a few - Integrated a PXI based system with two FPGAs to monitor the movement of plasma within a fusion reactor. Ranged from high speed analysis of the signals for the control of a 6GW Gyroton microwave gun to heating up elements of the plasma. System contained PID, advanced signal analysis and serial control all on FPGA
