My core career experience has been spent in the defence related technical sector. Current Role Achievements: • Implementation from concept to execution of physical part task training devices. In 2011 I led a six sigma project that identified the need for our Brisbane based training team to have access to mission system software systems. Based on the six sigma recommendation I led the implementation of the device from project planning, procurement, testing and sign off. This device has contributed greatly to the wider teams ability to access mission system software for writing and validation of training products as well as reduce costly travel overheads previously required to produce the same outcomes. • I have been the lead in standing up an eLearning capability within the company for the Air Warfare Destroyer program. My role involves project planning, storyboard creation, review and sign off, production management, deliverable review and final product sign off. Whilst successful in deploying engaging and interactive eLearning products to an initially wary customer, the greatest achievement in this program has been the development of an eLearning HUB environment. This is a 3D interactive environment that allows learners to explore the ship in many different ways, even allowing the virtual breakdown of equipment within the context of its location on the ship. As the lead for this particular product I take great pride that we have changed the customers perception about what eLearning can be, have received praise from the wider program and have set a significant benchmark for the implementation of blended learning strategies for defence.Lead Instructional Designer @ JP2008 Ph5B1 From April 2015 to Present (8 months) Combat System Senior Training Developer / eLearning Instructional Designer @ The Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Program is about the timely and efficient delivery of an affordable, effective, flexible and sustainable Air Warfare Destroyer capability for the security of Australia.
