Responsible for the delivery of a 1 Billion $ Integrated steel project.
HYL DR Plant, EAF furnace and CCM feeding 1million TPA Heavy Sections Mill.
This project has been successfully delivered based on a custom written Project Execution Plan at the commencement of the project. This has provided high level clarity of , and assurance of delivery for both Client, EPC and NON EPC contractors throughout.
The success has been further enhanced due to the Alliance forming relations within ALL stakeholders, and at all levels within the independant teams.
Major Milestones have been subsequently met , there have been NO claims, and the budget has also remained unchanged throughout.
The project safety record currently stands at over 16 million manhours with only 2LTI's.
This project has further proved to me that when projects are well planned and well managed the results are automatically at the top of international achievements. A futher positive consequence of this is that the team walk around day to day with a smile on their face, which is something that has been the case throughout this project. From September 2008 to January 2012 (3 years 5 months) RLE Commissioning Manager - CTRL(High Speed 1) @ Client - Union Railways
PMC - Rail Link Engineering (RLE)
Main Contractors - Carillion , EDF, Balfour Beatty, Thales.
RLE was a consortium made up of Bechtel, Halcrow, Arup, Systra.
Personally responsible for the Management of the overall commissioning of the final phase of the UK high speed railway link. 35km of track, OHL and signalling from Kent to Kings Cross London.
Also responsible for the Management of the commissioning of a new EUROSTAR maintenance depot south of London.
Both Projects were delivered with an excellent safety record , ahead of time and on budget, This was achieved under strict and challenging milestones From April 2004 to August 2007 (3 years 5 months) Project Manager @ Client - Network Rail (Power supply upgrade)
This project was a joint venture between Mowlem Railways and ABB, to upgrade substation and feeder supplies to a significant part of the DC traction system in London and Kent.
Client was network rail.
Personally responsible for 5 packages of this work which were all delivered within the agreed milestones and budgets From April 2002 to April 2004 (2 years 1 month)
