1. High bit-rate transponders for 40Gbps and 100Gbps at different modulation formats like ODB, DPSK, RZ-DQPSK, Coherent and OFDM . This activity includes R&D, Engineering and development of automated test equipment.
2. RF-Over Fiber. Transmitting RF signals over fiber mainly for Radar and Military application. This activity includes R&D, engineering, qualification and manufacturing. From August 2007 to June 2010 (2 years 11 months) SYSTEM ENGINEER @ From 2007 to 2007 (less than a year) SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER @ R&D and engineering projects manager at N-Trig, a start-up company which develops innovative touch screens for tablet PC. Manage the engineering team and the integration team. From 2006 to 2007 (1 year) HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER @ Manage the hardware development of Kailight Photonics, a start-up company which develops innovative photonic components for the fibre-optics DWDM industry. Work closely with the management team, including the CEO, the Director of Physics and the Product Manager. Responsible for all areas of integration and production of the all-optical wavelength converter for DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing). From 2001 to 2006 (5 years) R&D SYSTEM ENGINEER @ Oversaw the development, management and coordination of multiple projects for wafer inspection tool for the APD Division of Applied Materials. From 1999 to 2001 (2 years) PLASMA SOURCES RESEARCHER @ Developed a complex plasma source from ground up without any prior documentation for SNRC - a national laboratory.
*Research & Development – Researched and developed two projects valued $2 million, of hollow cathode plasma source and Hall thruster (electrical satellite engine).
*Project Management – Managed all project logistics including equipment requisition from international suppliers and infrastructure definition. Was responsible for the development of the entire laboratory systems, which contained vacuum, power, gas and diagnostic systems. Successfully resolved complex problems and directed staff of laboratory technicians. From 1997 to 1999 (2 years) PROCESS ENGINEER @ Managed wet-processes (including aluminium wet-etch and copper electro-deposition) of the Jerusalem plant for AVX Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of a broad line of passive electronic components and related products.
