Responsibilities included: - Analysis and completion of all the signed off business and technical requirements documentation. - Driving the communication across four business centres over three continents to gain consensus on the ticketing formats in Bloomberg TOMS. - Analysis and preparation of the required static data. - Preparing of test cases and working to ensure test environment RFQ functionality. - Java development and issue resolution, ION installation and UNIX scripting for the application install. From June 2014 to February 2015 (9 months) ION Developer @ Key role in the ION uplift of the fixed income front office’s technology, installing, configuring and handing over to the support teams. My main responsibilities included: - Initial administration of the linux servers, setting them up across four environments. Installation of Java, Oracle clients and setup of Bloomberg’s Thinpipe client. Installing, configuring and startup of the ION daemon master and slaves. Setup and documentation of the disaster recovery process. - Installation and configuration of all the market data and pricing components, including the Bloomberg MDATA, Reuters SFC, MDATA and PXE and assisting in the setup of contributions of positions and pricing to Bloomberg TOMs and Yieldbroker using the VMQ, Bloomberg_BTS and Yieldbroker D2C components. - Working with the traders to ensure that the pricing functions of their spreadsheets had been replicated by setting up MMI templates. Creation of a subversion repository to keep all the MMI template files in, followed by creation of a batch script to download the latest templates and start the MMI to ensure that templates could be released to the traders. - Creation of ION java custom components, setting up Maven repositories and providing consultancy to other teams to help them connect to ION using the Java API. - Setup of the futures contracts and deliverable bonds. - Training and handover to the operations support team. Adding bonds to TOMS trading books and configuring the PSU feeds of the bonds from the ION application to TOMS. Setting up counterparties in TOMs. - Working with vendors to manage issues, including, ION Trading, Bloomberg, Reuters and Tradeweb. - Creating and documenting of procedures. Training of new support staff to use the application.
