Setting Employee expectations, reviewing progress, providing feedback and recognizing their accomplishments for work group improvements. Review and Maintain Departmental Budget. Identify and coordinate capital spending to ensure technical aspects of the organization are current.Manager Security Operations and Mailroom Services @ Managing Security Operations Provide direction for Security Supervisors, Contract Security personnel and Receptionist/Administrative Support. Provide coverage, response, and visibility as needed to ensure compliance with customer expectations. Provide support during the contract, proposal and selection process of Contract Security agencies. Provide emergency response as per S.O.P.’s and as required. Review S.O.P.’s and training programs for compliance to maintain ISO standards. Ensure preparedness of Security Operations Staff to respond to emergencies through planning and networking with teams. Interact/problem solve with all levels of employees and the public. Re-channel or communicate information to key personnel, keeping them informed of security issues and results. • Oversight of Contract Personnel • Handling of Incidents or Investigations Handling of larger confidential or sensitive investigations Customer follow-up on investigations Covert surveillance and/or alarms Initial Incident Commander during Emergencies Confidentiality Incidents/Investigations Information gathering and dissemination Plain View Audits • Systems Knowledge (Electro-mechanical, CCTV, Database, or Process) Preventive Maintenance Updating/Maintaining Vendor interface • Access Control - Badging Ensuring proper programming and Maintenance of access systems information. • Outside Agency Interface Law Enforcement – Local, County, State, and Federal levels Arrest, Warrants, Subpoenas, Summons Assistance with investigations Media – provide direction, control access, etc. Emergency Medical Services Fire Department Regulatory – OSHA, FDA, DEC, etc. Criminal Justice System – Grand Jury testimony, DA’s office, Probation Department Employee Awareness and Education Orientations – New Hires Contract Custodial – groups From June 1988 to Present (27 years 7 months) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Certification @ To avoid unnecessary tampering of B+L shipments, Corporate Security, Security Operations, and the Logistics Departments worked together to meet requirements to have the Global Eye Health Center qualify as a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF) in accordance with CFR Title 49 and air cargo security mandates stemming from the 9/11 Commission Act. The certification meets the myriad of physical security criteria, personnel security and training requirements, and new cargo handling methods required under this program. The benefits include expedited supply chain flow, the avoidance of invasive screening later in the distribution chain and the ability to maintain our in-house packaging integrity and controls. It also eliminates the cost and need for third party screening services currently being used to additionally handle our air cargo. Maintain TSA (Transportation Security Administration) Certification – Facility Security Coordinator - The Facility Security Coordinator is responsible for acting as the security point of contact at the facility, conducting any other duties and responsibilities assigned in accordance with the TSA Order, as well as coordinating with TSA to ensure continued compliance with CCSP (Certified Cargo Screening Program) regulatory obligations. Send in all Security Threat Assessments for those employee requiring access into the Designated Screening Area. Must be familiar with US Import/Export Regulations for shipping and receiving.
