Growing up in a former British colony, my love of the English language was instilled at home and at my school run by Irish nuns. From an early age, my essays were always chosen to be read in class because of my ability to tell a story and weave in subtle humor. I was known in school and in my community for my creative talents and aptitude for thorough research. In my late teens, I was called on by my church to write regular radio dramas on current themes and to write and direct the annual stage production before Christmas. This helped me develop a part-time career as a radio DJ and TV news anchor.
My writing is fueled by an innate curiosity about why things happen and how it impacts the bigger picture. This makes me a good listener and observer—two critical skills for effective marketing.
I have weathered the winds of change in marketing communications by adapting and adopting new technologies. Never resting on past successes, I am always looking for innovative ways to add impact to marketing programs.
