I am the BIM Manager for Mace Design. My responsibilities include developing the Mace BIM strategy and its implementation. I take an active role assisting teams setting up project standards and the ongoing quality control and management of projects in a collaborative environment.I also manages building information models within the multi-disciplinary design team and external design consultants on individual projects including data validation and clash detection.
Prior to joining Mace, I worked in a multi-disciplinary environment with a large international consultancy firm Atkins and gained experience working for architects, building surveyors, project managers, mechanical, electrical and structural engineers creating information models. In my ten years of service, I have acquired a breadth of experience in a wide variety of projects ranging in value from £1.5 million extensions to £148 million new build schemes.
My work developing the Mace BIM Strategy ensures that the processes required to deliver the UK Government’s BIM mandate for Level 2 BIM by 2016. I take great satisfaction in the successful delivery of collaborative projects with project teams and stakeholders.
UNIVERSITY OF LONDON (2014) - PROJECT VALUE £38 MILLION
I have managed to create 'Pre and Post Contract BIM Execution plan' which is strictly following EIR. COBie & Asset Management are included in employers information requirements. Native models of designers are all in Revit, suppliers are providing IFCs. I am practicing design and data validation in Solibri.
CONFIDENTIAL BARRACKS PROJECT IN SAUDI (2013)– £148 MILLION (BIM LEAD) PAS 1192-2 WORKFLOW

THORNDOWN PRIMARY SCHOOL_ £9.0 Million_2012
All disciplines are sharing 3D information for collaboration and coordination. I was taking care of Revit Central Models which would be used to develop schedules and for future asset management.
BIM Manager @ - Managing building information models in a multi disciplinary environment.
- Working on modelling methodology and laying LOD at different design stages.
- IFC editing through Solibri.
- Defining BIM workflows From May 2014 to Present (1 year 8 months) BIM / CAD Development Lead @ My previous employer was internationally based multidisciplinary practice and I gained experience working for architects, building surveyors, project managers and mechanical, electrical and structure engineers in development of drawings. Consequently I acquired a vast experience in a wide variety of projects ranging in value from £1.5M new extensions to £75 Million new build schemes. Initially my main duties were collecting, organizing and investigating technical information for use of developing construction drawings. Subsequently my role developed through practical experience to analyze site based problems and developing proposed solutions. After being introduced to BIM in 2007, I increasingly gravitated towards 'collaborative BIM workflows'. Then my main interest was to configure strategy for BIM implementation of all disciplines following PAS1192-2 workflow. My new role will be virtual construction and design manager by delivering UK level 2 BIM Models for FM
Atkins introduces BIM throughout its international business and I was consequently selected for training in Autodesk Revit Architecture. To date I have undertaken several large design schemes in Revit and highlighting the main advantages which are efficiency, better cost control and predictability and improved overall project quality. I was involved in the rollout of the BIM Level 1 throughout Atkins. I trained staff on BIM level1 adaptation.
Worked on confidential project in KSA of project value 148m, where I was leading multidiscipline teams to achieve UK BIM Level 1 using REVIT 2013 Architecture, Structure, MEP and Navisworks 2013. I was exploring advantages of 4D (Time) and 5D (Cost) BIM construction methods. From October 2005 to April 2014 (8 years 7 months) CAD Technician @ While undertaking my thesis at UEL I was employed @Architect based in Hornchurch as a CAD Technician. My duties involved drawing up measured surveys and creating presentation of design schemes for client approvals. In addition I was tasked to manage a project of producing licensing surveys of 1100 Pubs and Restaurant for Rose Projects Services London.
