đź“– Summary
Software engineer and researcher with a passion for challenging problems (particularly in the areas of distributed systems and verification), research, clean coding, continuous improvement of engineering practices, and investigation into new tools and technologies. That said, I really enjoy digging up answers and sharing my knowledge with colleagues. All in all, I'm definitely a geek all over, as my favourite topics over a beer include programming principles, tools, and software engineering practices in general.Software Engineer @ I am leading the SDK team at Improbable. The SDK team works on Improbable's public APIs, game engine integration layers, and gamelogic algorithms (such as AI, navigation, etc.). I'm currently working on a large distributed, actor-based system in Scala and C#. I'm also responsible for the public API design, managing coding practices, technical direction of our C# layers, managing releases, and maintaining the build system. From May 2013 to Present (2 years 7 months) London, United KingdomPhD Student @ The main result of my research is a heterogeneous logic that is able to extend theorem provers with arbitrary representations (such as diagrams, storage files of arbitrary applications, and other binary data-like images or audio). The heterogeneous logic also enables reasoning about these representations. I created a software framework, called MixR, that implements this heterogeneous logic. MixR is based on the NetBeans Platform and enables tool developers to integrate existing theorem provers and other software into a heterogeneous reasoning system. MixR's sources are available at https://github.com/urbas/mixr From October 2009 to October 2013 (4 years 1 month) Cambridge, United KingdomTechnical Consultant @ Developed the PHP backend, MySQL database and release management for the http://www.secretguru.co.uk/ site.
