Marlene's career in human resources and leadership development began in the early 1990s in Latin America. After moving to the U.S. she gained considerable experience in higher education and the healthcare industries, achieving exceptional results in each field.
Marlene is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and has reading comprehension of German and French. She has worked in multicultural environments and assisted individuals and corporations understand and better relate to differences in cultures.
She earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, graduating with honors. She became a Senior Professional in Human Resources in 2004 and was recertified in 2014. Marlene is a Certified Birkman Consultant, and Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) Consultant.
Marlene has been a public speaker in Latin America, North America, Europe and Africa –including the US, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, England, and Nigeria. Several international organizations have invited Marlene to present topics related to human resources, change management and multicultural understanding. She has been an adjunct faculty teaching human resources' undergraduate courses.
