I am a software engineer with an extensive career in R&D projects and commercial products as well. My main interest is to investigate and develop technologies for high performance distributed systems. During my career I had the opportunity to work with great human teams, where I could grow up professionally and personally, and had synergies with people high qualified and motivated. More recently I had the chance to be involved in European grant funded R&D projects.
+ I have developed UMP a reliable and secure file transfer UDP based protocol, that offers an efficient alternative to the TCP based protocols in many cases, specially in those net links with a high bandwidth-delay product.
+ I have also develop an algorithm to compute offsets from quadratic polygons.
+ I have also created from scratch a non photo-realistic render.

+ vsnIPTransfer: Cloud based solution for media content managing, allows contribution and distribution of high-quality broadcast content through TCP/IP nets at rates up to 20 times faster than conventional technologies due its video compression and its accelerated transport protocol.
+ one2one/vsnTinyUMP: End to end accelerated transfers through the cloud, taking advantage of the UMP transport protocol.
+ vsnMediaTransfer: Dynamic link library that provides API for data transfer jobs. It works with many file transport protocols: UMP, FTP, K2, VMAX, CIFS, EVS.
Most of the development has been done in cross-platform C++, some has been done with Java, specially those for REST web services and related with database persistence or message broking modules.
On the other hand, I also had the opportunity to be involved in some research projects as:
+ UMP - UDP based Multi Protocol: Spanish R&D grant funded program named Torres Quevedo. Design and development of an accelerated transport protocol whose main objective is to transfer data reliably and efficiently at maximum speed. In order to offer a strong alternative to the transport protocols TCP stacked, such as FTP or HTTP, especially in those data links with a high bandwidth-delay product.
+ EUMSSI – Event Understanding through Multimodal Social Stream: EU grant funded project FP7-ICT-2013-10, the main objective is to develop technologies for identifying and aggregating data presented as unstructured information in sources of very different nature (video, image, audio, speech, text and social context). Will be potentially useful for cross-media data analysis and interpretation, such as intelligent content management systems, personalized recommendation, real time event tracking, content filtering. From 2009 to March 2014 (5 years) C++ Analyst/Developer @ Collaboration into Infosys and Infosys+ projects for TNS (Taylor Nelson Sofres, now is Kantar Media) for media audience data gathering and especially for analysis. I had the opportunity to collaborate in all development fields: software architecture & interface (MS Visual Studio C++ and MFC), calculation (stochastic) and Database (SQL Server, Access, ADO. NET). From March 2007 to June 2008 (1 year 4 months) Co-Founder, R&D Manager and C++ Analyst/Developer @ Technical software company oriented to machining industries. The most significant projects undertaken in the business career of EDAIS were: ARS Professional (desktop software remote control), +Trajectory (tool paths processor for numerical control) and the software maintenance of +TURN. From November 2006 to February 2007 (4 months) R&D Manager and C++ Analyst/Developer @ Leadership of the R&D for the development and maintenance of CAD/CAM software. Functional and technical analysis, development and project management.The most prominent project was +TURN: CAM solution for programming CNC Lathes (CNC) for the machining of cylindrical profile of revolution starting from raw material. From February 2004 to October 2006 (2 years 9 months) C++ Analyst/Developer @ CAD applications development in MS Visual C++. Collaboration in many Rhinoceros ®, add-ins projects such as: RhinoMold and RhinoShoe. I develop a stand alone application TDM Viewer: a 3D viewer for neutral solid and surface CAD file formats. And also I developed a simple surface engineering application. From November 2002 to May 2003 (7 months) Barcelona Area, SpainC++ Developer @ CAD applications development in MS Visual C++, mainly for AutoCAD ® by ObjectARX and Rhinoceros® by RhinoSDK, I collaborated in VisualARQ project and I created a non photorealistic render engine: Penguin. From February 2001 to October 2002 (1 year 9 months)
