Client Account Manager, Workplace Programmes @ Client Account Manager on the Stonewall Workplace Programme Team working with organisations who have signed up to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion. Through the Diversity Champions Programme Stonewall work with over 700 companies in the UK helping them to deliver sexual orientation equality and grow diverse and inclusive workplace cultures. We work with organisations from over 25 different sectors who are all at different stages of understanding or implementing equality for their LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual & Trans+) staff. We also run the Workplace Equality Index which is sometimes referred to as the ‘100 gay-friendly organisations to work for in the UK’ as covered by the Times.
I look after most of the Stonewall Diversity Champion Organisations who are based in the South West of England. I also manage our three Armed Forces and the Security Services due to my previous career and experience of working in the Royal Navy.

From December 2009 to March 2012 (2 years 4 months) European Forces Spokesperson @ Working with NATO and EU Forces from 25 nations and local civilians based in European Sarajevo, Bosnia. Responsible for all EUFOR media engagement in Bosnia. Responsible for the content and delivery of the core messages and defensive lines on behalf of the Commander EUFOR. With an engaging, clear and appropriately positive communications style, worked with national and international media to host press conferences and give interviews to journalists on radio, TV and by electronic media. From April 2009 to October 2009 (7 months) HR Support & Logistics Staff Officer @ Responsible for the writing, project management, final implementation and ongoing delivery of a new contract in two large shore establishments. The project was delivered within the limited budget, against challenging deadlines to provide a service to over 3000 personnel. Engagement with both military and civilian stakeholders required good judgement and an ability to be challenging, imaginative and inclusive. As the HR specialist provided employment, equality, diversity and inclusion advice to the Command and the establishment. Was the intelligent customer for large parts of the civilian facilities contract and established the Nursery Advisory Committee, ensuring value for money and consistency of service. From October 2006 to March 2009 (2 years 6 months) HR & Logistics Officer @ Delivery of all accommodation and catering services in the Naval Base to a customer base of over 1000. As key customer and Head of Department managed and liaised with Service and civilian stakeholders and employees. Able to respond to short notice, non budgeted increases in the requirement for feeding and living space and was able to lead a dispersed team to meet the requirements whilst ensuring that MOD directives and UK legislation was met. Line management responsibilities for approximately 200 personnel over several locations.
