From August 2015 to Present (5 months) Software Engineer @ At AppAdvice I build back-office web applications. I've used Angular and Backbone to build applications that communicate with AWS, Parse.com, and CouchDB using JSON-based REST APIs. I built an authentication system that unifies Google OAuth, AWS Web Identity Federation, and Parse.com to give user access to all of these platforms in a single project. Much of the code that I deploy has unit tests and integration tests. For unit tests I use Jasmine and Karma and for integration tests I use Protractor. I've setup our deployment servers using Travis CI and built the deployment commands through Grunt and Gulp for different projects. From December 2013 to August 2015 (1 year 9 months) Web Developer @ From 2008 to 2012 I worked on creating content WordPress sites. During this period I wrote a lot of PHP and JavaScript code, and learned about server administration, performance, analytics and SEO. I also learned about working with people remotely and managing them. Here's some of the websites I created (the numbers below are totally organic): * Hollowverse.com is website about the philosophical views of celebrities. It gets 1,000,000 pageviews per month. * DubaiEmploymentTips.com is a resource for Dubai job hunters. As of this writing, it has more than 20,000 Facebook fans. * WinkPress.com was a resource for WordPress webmasters. It made money through honest affiliate recommendations. I sold it in 2012 for $60,000. From May 2008 to May 2012 (4 years 1 month) Bachelors, Computer Information Systems @ Arizona State University - W. P. Carey School of Business From 2001 to 2006 M.K.
