Born and raised in central Mexico City, Luis Gonzalez “Lucho” started working in software engineering when he was just 17 years old. After 4 years of developing code for a telecom company, Lucho moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to join the team at Softtek. There he led one of the largest product development teams in the company, responsible for developing new software for the international Wal-Mart division. He also worked on some of the company’s most successful projects, such as the design of an entirely new architecture based on .NET for the new multinational system.In February 2011, Luis Gonzalez was transferred to IIS International Wal-Mart Division in San Francisco. He left IIS after one year to join Trulia as a Senior Software Engineer. There he was responsible for the growth and engagement org, working as a full stack engineer with the JavaScript ecosystem, creating API’s with Node.js on the AWS platform as well as cross site components with React, Next.js and GraphQL. He also became a Test programmer, playing a key role in developing and testing the company’s new products. In October 2017, Gonzalez was named IT Manager at Glassdoor, responsible for all PC related equipment. He was also a reference for JavaScript and React, playing a significant role in helping to create and enforce best practices for the technology, developing and maintaining the company’s customer relationships.

Luis Gonzalez holds a Bachelors of Computer Science from Instituto Tecnológico de Zacatecas in 2000. He then proceeded to earn his Master's degree in Computer Science from the same school in 2004.
