I love solving real problems for real people. I enjoy tackling all kinds of problems: digital, physical and abstract ones. I constantly look at the world around me and ask myself how this product, service, or experience can be stripped down, reorganized, or overhauled for a more intuitive and enjoyable experience.
I'm fortunate to have a variety of tools and skills to help me. I design and build software prototypes in Sketch, Swift + Xcode, Pixate and After Effects. But often times I find a whiteboard better. I can also design and build physical objects using Soliworks, 3D printers (previously built my own), machine shops and tools.
I love building stuff but know none of it matters if it's not easily understood and useful to others. I test the things I build with customers and love learning from them. Empathy is easy to find when I watch others struggle first hand. Often times it takes discovering that I was really wrong to get something really right.
I'm obsessed with technology (and travel too) and have a grasp of what's easy, what's hard, and what is coming right around the corner. I'm optimistic that within my lifetime we'll have education, healthcare, and airport experiences that don't suck. :)
