Lindsey Elhart graduated Summa Cum Laude at Washington State University with her BA in Finance, and minors in Political Science and International Business, while enrolled in the Honors College.
In May 2014, Lindsey transitioned into Boeing’s Business Career Foundation Rotation Program (BCFP). This placement allows her to rotate every four months into different business units and gain a breadth of the company, while building on leadership and personal development skills. She has completed rotations in: BCA (Boeing Commercial Airplanes) European Contracts, Boeing Capital Corporation Accounting, BCA Supplier Management with Kawasaki, BCA Features Strategy, and currently BDS (Boeing Defense Systems) Network Space and Security Financial Planning and Analysis in Washington DC.
In her free time, Lindsey enjoys running, hiking, and currently is working on her private pilots license.
Business Career Foundation Program (BCFP) @ The Boeing Business Career Foundation Program (BCFP) is a fast-paced leadership development program designed for high-potential recent college graduates. The aim of this program is to develop highly skilled future leaders through assignments that span the business and finance organizations, as participants rotate into a new business unit every 4 months.
My experiences thus far include: BCA European Contracts, Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC) Aircraft Financing, 787 Cost Reduction for Japan and Korea Structures, and BCA Features Strategy. From September 2013 to Present (2 years 4 months) Greater Seattle AreaVice President @ ENACTUS provided me with the experience of creating and leading economic development, and improving my leadership skills. I was able to be one of four authors for the Crimson Spoon Cookbook business plan, volunteered my time with the Village Bicycle Project, and became a lead organizer of Suit Yourself, an event that provides free business clothes and networking opportunities for WSU students, prior to our university's career fair. From August 2013 to June 2014 (11 months) Bloomberg Aptitude Test Ambassador @ The BAT is a multiple choice test that evaluates students' abilities, relative to a career in finance, and assists in anonymously marketing students to over 20,000 employers via the Bloomberg Talent Search. As the sole ambassador for this test, I organized and proctored the sessions on the WSU campus, while working closely with the Department Chairs in the College of Business. From August 2013 to June 2014 (11 months) Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Assistant @ There is nothing like your first visit to Washington State University. As a Cougar Connector and assistant to WSU's Welcome Center for Admissions, I assisted with recruitment and outreach through campus tours, and visitation events. From May 2013 to June 2014 (1 year 2 months) Cougs Guys and Gals @ Coug Guys & Gals (CGG) are one of the most elite students programs at WSU with a mission to represent the Cougar Athletic Fund (CAF) by providing activities to alumni, students, donors, and other associations on the WSU campus and Pullman community.
The CAF is the fundraising arm of the Washington State Athletic Department, granting scholarships to students, reinvest revenue in programs that directly impact recruitment, development, and education of student athletes.
This experience has allowed for professional development in interacting with individuals from varying backgrounds, educations, and socioeconomic status', as well going above and beyond expectations. From May 2013 to June 2014 (1 year 2 months) College of Business’ International Experience @ Having the chance to travel abroad for 3 months in Switzerland and taking part in a WSU Engineering Partnership in Tanzania, Africa, I became passionate about young people having the chance to study abroad. Through this role, I was able to share my experiences by speaking at orientation meetings, in business classes, and interact with faculty who led such opportunities. From January 2013 to June 2014 (1 year 6 months) Vice Chairperson & Undergraduate Director (Finance Committee and Search Committee) @ As a member on the Student Book Corporation ("The Bookie") Board of Directors, I provided a student perspective regarding strategic, fiscal, and long-term planning for the bookstore and the corporation itself. From May 2013 to May 2014 (1 year 1 month) Boeing Scholar @ From 2013 to 2014 (1 year) Supplier Management Procurement Finance Analyst @ As a PFA intern, I had the opportunity to familiarize myself with procurement boards regarding the 737 MAX landing gear doors, help conduct economic and learning curve analysis for the 787-9, -10 aft pressure bulkhead, and expanded my understanding of procurement, and estimating and pricing processes. From January 2013 to August 2013 (8 months) Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories: International Customer Service and Finance Intern @ During my time at SEL, I expanded my knowledge of bid and quote documentation, free trade agreement tax compliance documents, and performing tasks and discussions with international colleagues and customers. From January 2012 to October 2012 (10 months) Freshman Seminar Course Facilitator for WSU's Honor's College @ -Experience in a professional environment with working alongside the Dean and Assistant Dean.

From May 2010 to May 2012 (2 years 1 month) Summer of Excellence Camp Facilitator @ The Summer of Excellence was initiated by WSU's Honor College. This pilot program is intended to attract high school juniors who want to better understand the academic rigor of college and majors, and learn more about the exciting research of Washington State University, as a Tier 1 research institution.
I helped create the finalized schedule that would be used for this pilot year and subsequent years, including the professors and their interactive material, the role of facilitators, and activities that would provide students with a wholesome look of WSU. From June 2011 to August 2011 (3 months) Pre-College Programs: Counselor for Cougar Quest Educational Camp @ -Gained the ability to help students resolve conflict through compromise and mediation.
-Effectively communicated with students from diverse cultures, disorders, and retardation.
-Adept in fulfilling the role of a leader, yet also act under the direction of a supervisor.
-Oversaw and developed new projects to increase efficiency of registration, and functionality of workshops.
