From July 2012 to Present (3 years 6 months) E-Commerce Manager @ From February 2012 to July 2012 (6 months) Online Promotions and User Experience @ In my role as Online Promotions Co-ordinator I was responsible for the planning, execution and analysis of weekly promotions across the site; in particular the homepage. Responsible for driving the homepage strategy to balance promotional messages, strong brand messages and vendor funded content. Initiated and maintained a process rhythm for updating and monitoring the homepage allowing for forward planning within the operations team whilst remaining flexible enough to react to fast commercial decisions. Created a weekly homepage report, based on 3 KPIs – click-thrus, conversion and bounce rate. Analysis that helped me recognise what works and how content can be altered to improve performance therefore playing a pivotal role in driving click-thrus and conversion through the homepage. Worked with a wide range of stakeholders, always involved in the early stages of web project planning. My knowledge of the website functionality, user experience and design guidelines enabled me to offer excellent online solutions that worked for multichannel campaigns, offering the customer a seamless multichannel experience. I built excellent working relationships with teams across the business acting as the point of contact for all online activity. Managing multiple web projects at once from multiple stakeholders, delivering high quality projects to brief and on time. A big part of my role was to ensure a good user experience was upheld across the site. Ensuring all campaigns running on the site had a clear, simple user journey, engaging messaging and were in keeping with the brand to give a seamless multi-channel experience to the customer. Also kicked off an A/B testing strategy for Best Buy to help make sound decisions on proposed changes to the site design/templates/user journeys with the view of increasing engagement and conversion on the site. From April 2011 to February 2012 (11 months) Online Content Executive @ I joined Best Buy in 2009 as an Online Content Executive, my responsibilities included: Writing engaging, seo friendly product descriptions Managing the content for the Computing domain including Inspiration and Advice articles and product descriptions Receiving feedback from the Customer Service teams and responding with helpful content for the site's Help Centre During my time in this role I helped to launch, first, a content rich non-transactional Best Buy website, going on to manage the maintenance of the site, co-ordinating and setting timelines with one designer. I simultaneously co-ordinated the transfer of the content from the holding site onto the transactional site, enriching articles with related categories and products. I also took part in systems testing and site validation, collating team responses and feeding back to the functionality Manager. From September 2009 to April 2011 (1 year 8 months) Placement @ As part of my Retail Management course I completed a 40 week work placement with F Hinds. I took part in an accelerated Management Training Course while working in-store before I moved onto working in the Head Office where I worked in Buying, Visual Merchandising, and Online Marketing. Whilst working in the Online department I was responsible for two projects: - Building out the online gifting department – organising in-house photography of 1,000+ products, ensuring all products had interesting, seo friendly product descriptions and checking all product specifications before uploading to the site. - Developing an email to communicate the new online gifting range to the company database. This involved picking the products to feature, working on the design and writing the content From September 2007 to September 2008 (1 year 1 month) 2:1 BAHons, Retail Management @ Bournemouth University From 2005 to 2009 Coopers & Coborn School From 1998 to 2005 Lauren Penticost is skilled in: E-commerce, Online Marketing, User Experience, Retail, Customer Experience, Mobile Applications, Concept Development, Digital Strategy, Strategic Roadmaps, New Product Release, Product Vision, Multi-channel Retail, Omniture, Management, Project Planning
