I studied architecture at Kingston University and Oxford Brookes University. I hold a post-graduate diploma in Development Practices with distinction.
I spent a year in Malaysia working on various projects. All designs explored the issues of tropical architecture and cultural feng-shui philosophy.
I spent a year and a half in New Zealand working on residential projects which were designed using native timber construction methods.
Connections made in New Zealand led to working on the design for the Lyrica theatre housed in the Wales Millenium Centre. This was the first Lyric theatre in the country to marry the spatial requirements for opera and musicals.
Currently I am a partner at Cullinan Studio - the rebrand of Edward Cullinan Architects; a cooperative. Since joining Cullinans, I have worked on a number of projects but most notably I was the project architect for the new Herbarium and Library Wing at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. I wrote a case study on this building which was included in the book 'Sustainable Concrete Architecture' by David Bennett.
I was part of the project team who designed an Institute for Sustainability in the new Sustainable Industries Park at Dagenham Docks which sadly had it's funding pulled. Lessons learnt on this research building were put to good use in the recently completed International Institute for Products and Service Innovation (IIPSI) at the University of Warwick.
I am now part of the team working on the National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC) for the University of Warwick, WMG, TMETC and JLR - see link.
I am part of Cullinans PR & Marketing Team and set up the series of Sustainability talks at Cullinan's office. The first talk held in January 2010 was on a process designed by my father - see link.
