From September 2019 to April 2020 (8 months) Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida AreaChief Marketing Officer, 2019 Warrior Games @ United States Department of Defense Created and implemented the strategic marketing plan for the Department of Defense Warrior Games – an adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill and injured troops and veterans - hosted in Tampa Bay in June 2019. Led the effort to inspire national interest, and cultivate community support and engagement through promotional efforts and publicity advancing the competition. Prepared and mobilized over a dozen communications staff (civilian and military) to pitch, promote and document the games prior to and during the competition. The 2019 Warrior Games were host to over 300 athletes representing five US service teams and five international armed forces teams competing in more than 15 events throughout the Tampa Bay area over 10 days. The games demonstrated the incredible potential of wounded warriors through competitive, adaptive sports.
