From October 2016 to October 2018 (2 years 1 month) Senior Software Engineering Manager @ Microsoft I lead a team of software developers working on a suite of data visualization projects for Xbox Product Services. Greater Seattle AreaSoftware Engineering Apprentice (through InConsulting Inc.) @ Microsoft As part of Microsoft's LEAP Engineering Accelerator, I worked on the Xbox team.• Final project: a performance dashboard built with C#, Typescript, Angular 2, ElasticSearch, Kendo UI (soon to be D3.js), and HTML/CSS. • Previous project: a Node web application that organizes applicant data in a dynamically generated table. Built with Node, Javascript, jQuery, Slickgrid, and HTML/CSS.• Mini project: a chatbot that talks about the latest Tweets. Built with C#, Twitter API, and LUIS.• All projects were done using Agile methodology, along with Git, Trello, Slack, and Visual Studio for communication and collaboration. From June 2016 to October 2016 (5 months) Instructor @ Seattle Goodwill Industries • Taught Excel, Computer Basics, and English to 4-5 classes of 10-24 adult learners per session.• Provided weekly Computer Lab support, and iPad and phone app support as necessary.• Analyzed and redesigned class registration process to reduce registrant wait time by 50%.• Analyzed and redesigned the Goodwill JTE Excel system for tracking bus ticket distribution.• As part of the Digital Literacy Team, surveyed students to find digital literacy weaknesses, and created, piloted, and evaluated more than 5 sets of materials addressing these weaknesses.• Reorganized shared lesson plan files to facilitate communication and sharing between instructors. From August 2014 to January 2016 (1 year 6 months) South Everett Goodwill Job Training and Education CenterInstructor @ Colorado State University • Taught 4 Composition classes (19 students), as well as 15 library classes on Boolean searches.• Maintained class websites, including scheduling and grade calculations.
