He was the technical assistant to two IBM division heads and advised them on strategies while assisted them to engineer the consensus needed to terminate duplicate product missions. King also led the transition and re-skilling of the redundant staff into new businesses. Having based in Canada, U.S.A., Asia Pacific and Europe, King possesses a broad global experience across the entire IT business in technical sales, consulting, delivery services, IT architecture, software product and development with IBM in Sales, Software Group, Global Business and Technology Services. Of special mention, King built the first IBM China Global Delivery Centre in Shanghai; he also spearheaded and developed WebSphere Commerce, IBM’s first internet commerce product.
