Added detailed technical content to membrane keypad quotes for improved clarity and increased client understanding.
Independently authored and copyrighted a "Top Ten Tips"...No-Nonsense Membrane Switch Design Guide for Engineers. From 2010 to 2011 (1 year) Business Development Manager, National Accounts @ Chicago Office: Direct B2B Technical Sales of membrane keypads, capacitive and piezo-electric touchpads, PCB based electronic keypad assemblies, and graphic overlays. Implemented a focused prospecting plan which pre-qualified leads for direct follow-up by our National Sales Team. Prospected, Prepared, Presented detailed technical proposals to clients for our electrical interface keypads, and Followed-up to close the orders. From 2009 to 2010 (1 year) Sales Manager (15 years), Engineering Manager (3 years) @ Directed and Increased the National Sales of this membrane keypad and digital print manufacturer. Reported directly to the President. Assisted clients in designing membrane keypads for their applications. Created and developed new product line of high-value PCB-based membrane keypad assemblies. Opened new technical markets involving harsh environments with locomotives, x-ray equipment, industrial refueling, remote data transmission, agricultural, and military applications. Wrote formal operating procedures for in-house high speed Galvo Laser-Cutter. Designed overlays and circuits for color-separated screen printing and digitally-printed graphic overlays using an HP-Indigo Press. $30 Million U.S. Postal Design Contract Award for a high-security 6-foot tall stamp vending machine...Led a 14-person Engineering Team: Hiring engineering team members, designing electronic subsytems, building, cabling, creating engineering drawings and technical manuals, testing subsystems, hosting client design reviews, demonstrating a functional prototype for the U.S. Postal Service: Vandal-proof stamp vending machine. Wrote and negotiated subcontracts from $100K and up for additional electronic subsystems, including: coin validators and dispensers, bill validators, encrypting keypad, message displays, internal processor-based PCB assemblies, internal cabling, and backlighting. 5000 of our team's robust machines are still in successful operation within U.S. Post Offices nationwide. From 1991 to 1994 (3 years) Project Engineer @ Microelectronics Division: Designed Automated Test Equipment for commercial applications. Troubleshooting of ATE Equipment in Mexico facility---optimized test sets by reducing system noise, cable and grounding issues and improved test yields of electronic vehicle modules.
