Beginning an MBA program at Santa Clara University in Spring 2016, with a goal after graduation (expected 2019) to work as an HR Business Partner or in a similar capacity. I plan to work full-time through the duration of the program to gain increasing experience in HR, specifically working on projects related to office culture, learning & development, effective leadership, team dynamics, and growing/training happy and healthy employees.
My passion for people and happy, fulfilling employment is personal. After going through my own job hunting experiences in the past, I know firsthand the ups and downs of job applications, interview processes, and the thrill or letdown of a much-anticipated email or phone call from a recruiter. That empathy and compassion, based on personal experience being in the applicants’ shoes, fuels a strong desire to create an exceptionally positive candidate experience in my current role as a recruiting coordinator.
My background as a professional writer and editor aids in my current role, because a high level of tactful, positive communication is essential at any given moment. My eye for detail, approachable demeanor and scheduling speed are great assets to any recruiting or people team I join.
