On the recruiting side I was responsible for scheduling travel and interviews for candidates. Our efforts yielded 134 new hires in 2009.
I supported the HR Manager by undertaking data entry and some executive administrative duties. Eventually I tasked with conducting the new hire orientation, developing policies and training junior staff. I was quickly trusted with high level information and responsibilities. From October 2008 to June 2010 (1 year 9 months) Assistant General Manager @ As the Assistant General Manager of the first new location in 30+ years, I helped hire and train over 60 employees before the doors were open for business. My day to day tasks included but were not limited to vendor selection, training, updating and maintaining legal documents, payroll, scheduling, labor law compliance, product ordering and inventory. Our efforts resulted in sales of over $2M in the first year.
What I am most proud of is installing a “Woodstock's Culture” in the new store. After working for Woodstock’s in Isla Vista for over 3 years as an in-house employee, food preparation specialist and shift manager I was able to help the new staff embrace the philosophies set from years of hard work and great pizza making.
