Cloud Solutions Specialist @ I'm part of a team that is committed to helping businesses grow, creating competitive edges, and staying innovative. Our mission is to deliver small-midsize companies the cloud technology needed to become a leader in their industry. As a cloud solutions specialist, my role is to help businesses simplify their IT environments and as a result, allow them to dedicate their time to more critical tasks demanding their attention.
Aside from work, I closely follow international issues and their politics. In the near future, I hope to learn as many languages as I can and continue to travel. From January 2015 to Present (1 year) Director of Communications @ The Green Student Fund is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping finance environmentally conscious student projects. Our goal is to provide the necessary resources to these organizations, so they have the opportunity able to develop and complete their objectives.
I am responsible for overseeing content as well as writing and editing partner sponsored organization updates, announcements, and the quarterly newsletter.
As of December 3, 2014 Green Student Fund is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax exempt organization. From August 2015 to Present (5 months) Global Intern @ After completion of University of California, Santa Barbara's Education Abroad Program, I took an internship that assisted students with finding the perfect program abroad. Additionally, I served as an adviser by guiding students and answering any questions they had.
My ability to show them the value of traveling to another country, especially one that was not English speaking, reinforced the importance of experiencing and learning about other cultures. From October 2014 to December 2014 (3 months) Circulation Desk Assistant @ As an assistant to patrons at the Davidson Library, I helped individuals locate the resources they needed in their studies and research. I engaged with people every day and demonstrated how to use the system to find what they were looking for. As a result of encountering so many different individuals ranging from students to professors and directors, I learned how to interact with all types of people. From January 2014 to December 2014 (1 year) Santa Barbara, California AreaEnglish Tutor @ I taught English to native Spanish speakers ranging in ages from 5 to 45 years old. Working with such a vast age group, I had to become creative with making English exciting and applicable to their ages. From September 2013 to December 2013 (4 months) SpainSales Associate @ From April 2012 to July 2013 (1 year 4 months) Santa Barbara, California AreaHealth and Lifestyles Editor @ After transitioning from the writer position, I became an editor, who was responsible for assigning and editing articles of the Health and Lifestyles section of the university's paper. I was privy to receiving news as soon as it occured, allowing me to gain insight into the university system and my community. I was accountable for the content of the section and helped lead a staff of approximately 50 students. From January 2012 to June 2013 (1 year 6 months) Santa Barbara, California AreaLegal Intern @ I held a legal internship at a company ranked in the top 10 of Fortune 250 companies in a Corporate Counsel, where I worked alongside legal secretaries and paralegals on trial preparation and notebooks. Popular tasks included indexing and working with court documents in the system.
