My experience in business is unique having had accountability for both line and support functions. In addition to senior HR roles, I have held the lead operations roles for large Canadian retailers and was SVP of Marketing for Hudson's Bay Company and its 4 banners. When people review my background, the word 'unicorn' is often used; that's something I'm proud of! I am a visionary executive with a track record in the creation and execution of operational strategies and organizational transformation. I have proven success in cost control, productivity improvements, return on investment cultural transformation and leadership. I am known as a business person who enjoys measuring and proving the relationship between people and bottom line profit. I have an unusual combination of both strategic and tactical thinking skills allowing me to create the long term plan and the steps for execution. I am well versed in the area of change management however, my approach is not the 'norm'. I believe the qualities that lead to successful change are the same qualities that make a strong leader. Change readiness needs a culture based on trust in leadership and strategy - that's where the real work is. In my view, people only fear change when they don't trust the intention behind it.Senior Vice President, Store Operations & Human Resources @ From August 2014 to Present (1 year 5 months) Chief Human Resources Officer @ Responsible for the development of Human Resources Strategy for Best Buy Canada Ltd which includes both Future Shop and Best Buy brands.
