Manager, Technical Recruiting @ I currently own and drive Production Engineering Recruiting for Facebook. Production Engineers at Facebook are hybrid software/systems engineers who ensure that Facebook's services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth. They are embedded in every one of Facebook's product and infrastructure teams, and are core participants in every significant engineering effort and decision underway in the company.
Prior to supporting our Production Engineering team I managed our Technical Security Recruiting team for 2 year and also supported our infrastructure engineering teams. Infrastructure engineers are responsible for building large, distributed environments that run Facebook. Engineers code must serve millions of requests per second, and in subsecond latency and in a fault tolerant manner. From November 2011 to Present (4 years 2 months) Lead Technical Recruiter @ • Own and drive the staffing strategy and results for 3 departments within Netflix (Data Science and Engineering, IT Operations, Operations Engineering).
• Source, interview, offer, negotiate and close candidates for engineering and management level positions.
• Developed a remote recruitment strategy for nationwide recruitment of 58 individual Netflix locations.
• Developing, driving and executing comprehensive search strategies designed to recruit senior and niche candidates in limited candidate spaces-- including driving a business plan which is geared at building key competitive research, industry profile development, networking and direct sourcing
• Consult and partner with 70+ managers in the company throughout the United States on best practices in hiring and building a great teams.
