Manager, Technical Recruiting @ I currently own and drive Production Engineering Recruiting for Facebook. Production Engineers at Facebook are hybrid software/systems engineers who ensure that Facebook's services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth. They are embedded in every one of Facebook's product and infrastructure teams, and are core participants in every significant engineering effort and decision underway in the company. Prior to supporting our Production Engineering team I managed our Technical Security Recruiting team for 2 year and also supported our infrastructure engineering teams. Infrastructure engineers are responsible for building large, distributed environments that run Facebook. Engineers code must serve millions of requests per second, and in subsecond latency and in a fault tolerant manner.
