From September 2009 to December 2010 (1 year 4 months) UK Sales Manager - New Business Meduim Enterprises | Telecomms @ - Set up a new Team responsable for a Team of 10 targeting new Logo customers. This Team was the highest performing sals team in the UK in 2009 at 121% of target.
- Seconded to also manage the UK Channel Sales Team.
- Turned around a poor performing sales team from achieving 34% to 83% within 9 months. Achieved through a focused tiered program, underpinned by a clear KPI & SOP activity management program, supported by skills training.
- Recruited and trained a new Channel Sales Manager. From January 2007 to December 2009 (3 years) UK New Business Sales Manager | Telecomms @ - Set up a UK New Business sales team for the Enterprise Division by introducing a focused acquisition sales culture, sales methodologies and training (target customer 250 - 1,000 employees).
- Secured new business in the first year exceeding £8m ACV, an overachievement of 133% for sales year 2008.
- Second highest achieving Sales Manager across Europe for Mid-size sector - Premier Club Runner-up 2008. From 2006 to 2009 (3 years) Head of UK Resellers | Telecomms @ Drafted in to turn around a poor performing Channel sales team. The team's perfomance incearsed from 36% to 83% within 12 months. From 2006 to 2007 (1 year) Senior Manager | Telecomms @ - Set up a new IP Voice Sales Team at Colt UK (New Colt venture).
- 2004-2006: UK head of IPV Overlay Sales Team - I was selected to drive quick-win success in this new Colt market line.
- New venture that required partner and product development with Siemens and Avaya. The UK Team signed more managed hosted Avaya contracts than any other Colt country - 12 signed TCV of £4.3m. From 2003 to 2006 (3 years) European Group Sales Operations Manager | Telecomms @ - Promoted to this role to drive sales effectiveness across all Colt European based countries.
- Developed and implemented best practice sales practices and processes across Colt countries.
- Creation and implementation of a Pan European sales incentive plan to drive common revenue lines. From 2001 to 2003 (2 years) European Carrier Sales Manager | Telecomms @ - Set up a new European sales team managing the Top 2 Carrier customers across Europe and the US.
- Implemented European sales and commission plan and introduced C level sales methodologies.
- Team grew revenues from €30m to €62m over 3 years through greater customer focus and intimacy. From 1998 to 2001 (3 years) UK Carrier Sales Manager | Telecomms @ - Set up a new sales team focused on selling into other UK based Licensed Carrier Operators, selling Backbone and PSTN services to other PTT providers. These were exciting times due to the growth in Telco companies at the time, especially from the US.
- Team grew revenues from £7m to £38m. This was achieved through a very sales-focused approach, based on a whitespace customer tiering program and aligning team skills set against each vertical tier.
