Currently I work at Dundee Engine plant as Engineering Manager. I also manage all purchase sevices , tooling , chemicals and repair warranty. I run the production meetings in the morning and afternoons. I am very active in launch activities of the new tiger shark engine that is replacing the fire engine in the south plant. I work with many vendors making sure schedules are maintained.
I have also taken on coordination of tier 1 repair activities, and approvals of purchases parts.
Over the last few years I have been tasked to reduce manufacturing costs and to out source non core functions. I was tasked to design and setup programs for part traceability , tool management, chemical management and repair warranty management. In these programs we standardized many processes and purchased products. The total dollar spend in tooling over the last few years has been reduced by 50%. The spending in chemicals has been reduced by 30% and the repair warranty cost have been reduced by 40%. I started these programs in powertrain and introduced them into assembly and stamping divisions. The results in assembly and stamping over the last two of years have produced similar results as in powertrain. I have been leading this effort with senior management in setting up these programs for out sourcing. You will find that I have an extensive background in manufacturing and information technology process. In the past I have worked on setting up lean manufacturing in the plants following the Toyota model. I have directly managed sixty people working for me as Chrysler employees and supplier contract personnel. I am designated internally as the subject matter expert (SME) for a number of advanced manufacturing and IT projects. I designed the tool management system for Daimler (MB) and was awarded the high acknowledgement, “Standing Ovation “, by the CIO. I was the only American to receive this award. MTM or manufacturing tool management is a standard across all plants.

DEP is benchmark in the tool management, chemical management and repair warranty program.
This plant has some of the lowest CPU, CPP cost in these program in the automotive business. From April 2015 to Present (9 months) Engineering Manager, Production Lead , North/South Plants @ On Monday 3/7/2011 I will be starting at GEMA the engine plant in Dundee Michigan, Responsiblies include both Fire and Tiger Shark programs, Machining , Assembly , basically manufactuing process. Also have purchase programs as in tooling, chemicals and repair warranty programs. Working in focus inprovment projects for the plant as well.
Now I am working with focus improvement pillars, cost deployment pillar, PM and AM pillars. Working on organizing all the PDR runs for tiger shark, block, head , crank. Working on puttling issues to bed on the assembly lines, marposs, piston stuffer, and other items. Have restructed the mahar program , and the organization of tooling, tooling deliveries. etc. Working with the young engineers coaching and sharing knowledge in a hope that they advance to the next level. One of my major jobs is to put to bed all the problems that AME is leaving as they exit a program. We do not have enough resources and some days are really tough. Finally we have brought back some of the retires from the old trenton plant to teach everyone how to make engines at rate. Before xmas we will have the new repair warranty program in place. This should be a major step for chrysler. From 2011 to Present (4 years) Powertrain Task Force Leader for MM&S @ In additions to my job duties at Trenton Engine, I have selected to start a task force team made up from member through out powertrain plants and Fiat . Our job is to reduce cost in all maintenance, material and supplies. We will be looking at all purchases materials, OEE , over all equipment effectiveness, MTBR and MTBF , mean time between failures and repairs, the cost of
OEM repair services. I will be working with finance, purchasing, production control, advanced engineering both in Chrysler and Fiat. Develop and establish a new program for Chrysler. With all the out sourcing components and processes to tier one suppliers, I have been tasked to setup a traceability/warranty tracking program. Work with all the companies that are supplying castings, machining super-cubing of parts to establishing a standard 2D bar coding format with verification , integrate with RFID tags used in Chrysler machining and assembly. Work with production control and
purchasing to create standard 2D/man readable labels formats for shipping. Act as subject matter expert for setting up a
manufacturing part tracking system for tracking all purchased and machined/assembled parts. Tracking parts from birth to
complete assembly in a vehicle. Report process to Sr. Chrysler management on monthly basis , PFMEA. I benchmarked savings and worked with MRO group when interfacing with the powertrain group.
