As a software engineer, I work on whatever task is assigned to me. I don’t think it really matters which tier it’s on for me to do my job. I'm a developer who is able to and willing to work in all of these areas. I’m always hoping to join a great company and work with a great team full of smart people. Although I am a recent college graduate, my punctuality, practical experience, and eagerness to enter the creative, dynamic software industry will make me an excellent software engineer.
Words that best describe me: a big fan of open source projects; eagerness; punctuality
Software Engineer (UI) @ From February 2015 to Present (11 months) Software Engineer @ ➭ Developed dynamic web-based software which was ranked the top 250th website in the U.S. for internet traffic on LAMP (Linux, Apache Server, MySQL, and PHP) platform
➭ Authored fast-rendering reusable components using the Model-View-Controller design pattern in PHP
➭ Developed mainly internal content writing tool in object-oriented manner, enabling content writers to write engaging materials ready for production
➭ Handled front-end data dynamically using JavaScript(jQuery) and implemented fluid user interfaces using HTML/CSS From September 2014 to January 2015 (5 months) Software Developer Intern @ ➭ Created and delivered data-driven reports using SQL Server Reporting Services in Business Intelligence Development Studio
➭ Wrote underlying Transact-SQL query and parsed configuration XML data to retrieve detailed project schedule
➭ Applied custom programming features in SSRS to build a dynamic report and polish the report format to make it more readable, user-friendly, flexible, and extensible From January 2014 to August 2014 (8 months) Programmer Intern @ ➭ Corrected hierarchy and relationships in query concepts files and generated error-free versions of the files so that they match each other
➭ Provided statistics for a massive data set (50GB files) by analyzing information such as the frequencies of documents having specific concepts annotated in their titles
➭ Created a new data set after fixing the content of files in the original data set by using a complex combination of data structures and modifying annotated concepts based on the corrected concept hierarchy
➭ Visualized the complex hierarchy of concepts by using an open-source Java library called JUNG, leading to an easier analysis of the hierarchy From May 2013 to August 2013 (4 months) Researcher @ ➭ Studied two different types of annotations which verified the nullness and reference immutability of objects in programs
➭ Used two inference tools, NIT and JULIA, to insert annotations into a benchmark suite of programs called Jolden and analyzed how the annotations affected the code
➭ Gained an understanding of how the checker framework used annotations to verify object properties by running it on Jolden
➭ Concluded that JULIA is a better tool than NIT, inferring 25% fewer nullable annotations, by analyzing the warnings generated by the checker framework From February 2013 to May 2013 (4 months)
