📖 Summary
Chief Technology Officer Data Analytics @ Intelligent Analytic Systems, Inc. Chief Technology Officer at Intelligent Analytic Systems; responsibilities include marketing, developing requirements for clients, designing architectures for processing big data, data analysis and analytics, algorithm development, statistical/probability models, prediction, machine learning, artificial intelligence including deep learning and providing near real time software applications; currently working with PF Chang's and Pei Wei restaurants to enhance their loyalty patron program by optimizing incentive distribution. Westlake Village, CAResearch Scientist: Data Analtics and Artificial Intelligence @ Deloitte Advisory Responsible for innovating solutions to complex client problems in cyber security and data science; developed algorithms for email campaign detection and anti-phishing applications; developed IT risk management model using Gaussian Process Regression and Monte Carlo simulation for statistical aggregation of disparate risk estimates; developed expected loss models from aggregated distribution and cost variates; built machine learning models for predictive analytics to support improvements in external ratings (e.g. Yelp) from internal survey data to enhance retail company operations; designed machine learning system to detect malicious activity in highly unstructured text to predict potential cyber related events. Worked extensively with academia such as Fordham, Harvard and the University of Arizona on advanced techniques in machine learning. Also, worked on planning and design of systems and platforms for processing and visualization of large volumes of data including sensor networks for detecting anomalous employee behaviors and the use of open systems to minimize development and implementation. Supported market presentations and proposals to a wide range of clients. Documented work in conference papers and final reports. Managed projects, schedules, budgets and prepared status/final reports. From June 2014 to August 2016 (2 years 3 months) Jersey City, NJSr. Research Scientist and Technical Program Manager @ Teledyne Scientific & Imaging Managed a research team consisting of the University of California at Santa Barbara and the Army Research Lab on developing bio-inspired technologies for capturing data from sensor networks. Technologies include optimal routing and navigation of a small network of UAVs, source localization and classification of acoustic events. Managed group of technologists involved with developing advanced network and communication systems. From March 2005 to March 2012 (7 years 1 month) Senior Research Scientist and CTO @ Intelligent Recognition Systems, Inc. Responsible for developing advanced system designs and architectures, signal/image/pattern recognition algorithms, marketing, proposal preparation and program management. I am also involved with developing technologies for data mining, social media analytics and machine learning.A team consisting of staff from Intelligent Recognition Systems, the University of California at Santa Barbara, the Army Research Lab, the ERDC, and IBM UK has developed technologies in support of automated data exfiltration from heterogeneous battlefield sensor networks to enhance situational awareness for dismounts and command echelons. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) provide an effective means to autonomously collect data from a sparse network of unattended ground sensors (UGSs) that cannot communicate with each other. UAVs are used to reduce the system reaction time by generating autonomous collection routes that are data-driven. Bio-inspired techniques for autonomous search provide a novel strategy to detect, capture and fuse data from disparate (heterogeneous) sensor networks. The bio-inspired algorithm is based on chemotaxis or the motion of bacteria seeking nutrients in their environment. Field tests of the system that routed UAVs were conducted in June 2011 at Camp Roberts, CA. The field test results showed that such a system can autonomously detect and locate the source of terrestrial events with very high accuracy (< 1 m) and visually verify the event. In June 2011, field tests of the system included the use of multiple autonomously controlled UAVs, detection and disambiguation of multiple acoustic events occurring in short time frames, optimal sensor placement based on local phenomenology and the use of the International Technology Alliance (ITA) Sensor Network Fabric (IBM). The Sensor Network Fabric was used to test different policies in conjunction with the distribution of data from heterogeneous sensor networks. The system demonstrated TRL 6 performance in the field. From March 2012 to June 2014 (2 years 4 months) Westlake Village, CA
