Associate Professor of Naval Science @ Associate Professor of Naval Science and Executive Officer for Naval ROTC unit comprising a staff of 11 Officers and Government/School employees and over 1,100 Midshipmen and Corps of Cadets personnel. Responsible for all facets of the day to day operations for the unit to include all Naval Science class instruction, U.S. Navy and Department of Defense administrative and legal requirements, faculty liaison and accreditation support with the College of Liberal Arts, partnership with the Campus Corps of Cadets, and oversight/accountability for over $30 million in scholarship and appropriated funds. From July 2014 to Present (1 year 3 months) Blacksburg, VAAir Operations Officer @ Led and coordinated all facets of fixed wing and helicopter air operations and control aboard a Nimitz-class Naval Aircraft Carrier for 85 aircraft and associated crew, maintainers, and ship's company. Directed a 45-man Carrier Air Traffic Control Team responsible for traffic avoidance and for safe and efficient all-weather approaches sequenced with precision to meet the needs of the ship. Coordinated all aircraft emergency recoveries and diverts, to include medevac and deportation flights. Liaised with foreign diplomatic agencies and ambassadorial staffs for all flight operational planning, area coordination and scheduling, and asset deconfliction across all DoD services and spectrums. From October 2012 to July 2014 (1 year 10 months) Bremerton, WAExecutive Officer (Deputy Chief Executive Officer) @ Led an organization of 950+ personnel and 46 tactical jet electronic warfare aircraft responsible for training and providing combat ready aircrew and maintainers for deploying fleet aircraft squadrons. Implemented and managed ongoing complete community transition from the EA-6B Prowler to the EA-18G Growler, a $5B DoD acquisition program. From May 2009 to September 2012 (3 years 5 months) Officer-in-Charge @ Led and directed 220 military and civilian personnel performing all aspects of fielding, integration, maintenance and system updates for 5,400 electronic warfare systems, valued at over $540M. Integrated airborne and ground based electronic missions and classified special access capabilities in support of troop operations and movement. From May 2008 to April 2009 (1 year) Chief Staff Officer @ Directed and managed a 54 person staff for the Wing Commander in support of manning, administrative, logistical and operational support for 12 deployable electronic warfare squadrons, the fleet training squadron, and the fleet electronic attack weapons school. Coordinated 5 complat deployments to the Middle East and Southeast Asia regions supporting national security interests.
