I enjoy the challenges of working in the oil and gas industry. I always enjoy thinking about new ways and opportunities in order to improve the oil recovery and also oil production. By having a good understanding of production engineering softwares, I am able to apply this knowledge when I am working in operations. I hope to learn more and challenge myself everyday to improve. One of my main goals would be to better enhance real time production surveillance workflows and to improve the field production by reduction of downtime, well interventions and also gas lift optimization.
I always try and balance my work life and social life.
During my free time, I would try and find something interesting to do, be it playing some sports or just hanging out with some friends.
I try to keep fit and go to the gym or play some sports whenever I can find the time.

Digital Oilfield @ Implementation of Digital Oilfield and Avocet Platform in Bokor Field. Current Workflows being used on a daily basis includes well status identification, daily uptime reports, daily production predictions using PIPESIM, daily gas lift optimization, daily gas lift diagnostics, ESP surveillance, DHG surveillance, well test validation, platform status, gas lift supply and consumption analysis, compressor monitoring, field production monitoring and drawdown monitoring. Data is acquired by Avocet Workflow Manager every 15 minutes to run the workflows. Software applications currently used include Avocet Workflow Manager, Avocet Gas Lift Manager, PIPESIM, Avocet Surveillance and OFM. Currently still working on the Avocet Pilot Project which would help in managing data and also reduce the time spent on generating daily reports. As the project has officially ended, I am also working on the handover everything related to the digital oilfield in Bokor. Currently also working on setting up the Avocet Real Time Applications in Kuala Lumpur so that the Production Technologist based in Kuala Lumpur would have access to the system. The plan is to have a team in Miri to be mainly involved in the day to day surveillance and a team in Kuala Lumpur to work on optimizing the field production. From July 2013 to Present (2 years 4 months) Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaProduction Technologist @ I am currently working as a Production Technologist in the Bokor Project working on Production Surveillance and Optimization. My day to day work includes the complete understanding of all the production reports, daily production surveillance which involves identifying problematic wells and looking into ways to stabilize and optimize the well. I am also in charge of all the PIPESIM models for the field and have calibrated the well models based on the available data. As most of the wells in Bokor are produced with the assistance of Gas Lift, I also work on various gas lift valve change if the designs which are currently in place are no longer suitable to produce at the optimum rates. We have a few ESP wells in the field and I want to learn more about ESP designs and optimization. I also run gas lift optimization using Avocet and managed to record gains at the field level by running optimization. I would also have to ensure that we keep a good relationship with the client and attend various meetings and provide support and suggestions to the client's requests. As a production technologist in the Bokor Project, I also have the chance to go offshore and get involved in operations. I enjoy the change in environment and to occasionally go to the field and supervise various jobs and interventions which are ongoing. It is also very important to keep a good relationship with the offshore operators as they are very important to help us run the field. I want to create awareness among the offshore operators on the importance of good quality data and also performing the job in the correct way to ensure that we can get the most accurate information for any job carried out.
