In January 2011 started as the Corporate Credit Manager for Petroleum Solutions Inc, headquartered in McAllen, however I was handling credit based out of the Houston Branch. PSI is a petroleum equipment supplier as well as provide service primarily for the convenince store market. Re-united with my CFO boss from Merchants Metals at Link Staffing handling over 40 franchise owned location and 9 company branch locations.

We sell to licensed installers, general contractors and end users. I've handled all SOX requirements, legal accounts, bad debt reserve analysis, liens and bond claims, letters of credit, and in training of staff. From October 2003 to March 2005 (1 year 6 months) Corporate Credit Manager @ Directly responsible for all credit and collection activities for the 6th largest integrated steel mill (manufacturer). Annual sales in excess of $1 billion. Average monthly A/R of $125 million. Bad debt less than $200k From August 2002 to August 2003 (1 year 1 month) National Credit Manager @ Directly responsible for all credit and collection activities for a U.S. steel trading firm, as well as for the collection activity of all sales into North America for the German Parent company. Also responsible for all phases of the credit insurance program for North America, including Canada and Mexico. Annual sales of $550 million prior to 9-11 and $250 post 9-11. Directly responsible for all export sales and all North American sales. Responsible for the A/R area for the installation of a new software system along with coordinating customization and programming changes. In charge of reviewing credit insurance providers to determine the best program for the sales requirements while protecting the receivables for 100 active accounts with balances in excess of $50 million. From October 1999 to June 2002 (2 years 9 months) Credit Manager @ Directly responsible for all credit and collection activities for a heavy carbon steel distributor with annual sales in excess of $150 million. Under my supervision was the Ass't Credit Manager, three Credit Analysts, and the A/R cash application clerk. Responsible for 6 branches in South Central U.S., including export sales into Mexico. Developed and implemented, with an outside programmer, an automated credit hold/review. Selected to be on the core team for installation of a complete new mainframe software. Maintained in excess of 2,200 active accounts with receivables in excess of $25 million. From March 1998 to October 1999 (1 year 8 months) Credit Manager @ now known as Tyco) Directly responsible for all credit and collection activities for this international valves and controls manufacturer. The department initially consisted of 5 full time employees responsible for credit, A/R, and billing. I streamlined the processes of billing and A/R cash application, which allowed those positions to be transferred under the supervision of the Controller. Besides overall responsibility of all credit and receivables, I handled personally all distributorship relationships and credit accommodations. Including inter-company and export sales, receivables averaged close to $30 million with an active customer base of 2,200 accounts. Was the lead facilitator and developer of the corporate Terms and Conditions policies and procedures, along with training the sales people. Reorganized invoicing procedures and took control of company wide billing. Reduced over 90 days past due percentage of total receivables by 40% and days sales outstanding from 78 days to 58 days, which included inter-company terms of Net 60 days and distributor terms of Net 45.
