I have graduated with a master's in Operations Research where the coursework was inclined towards using statistical testing methods to optimize and check the validity of any process
I am interested in predictive modelling, forecasting, machine learning and data analysis. I currently have experience working with analyzing large data sets to identify cohorts that should be targeted to maximize ROI. Used predictive modelling techniques to calculate LTV. I have extensively used SQL and excel to perform my tasks. I also have experience using R to build out predictive models.
I am looking for opportunities that are challenging and that will build on my existing skill set. I am eager to learn new methods and tools to help solve complex data intensive problems.
Senior Data Analyst @ • Supported the clinical teams to analyze the efficacy of various campaigns on patient outcomes.
• Analyzed the data and drilled down into the root cause of changes in patient outcomes and performed sensitivity analysis to determine the range within which we could safely treat patients.
• Built and maintained KPIs that are essential to ongoing clinical initiatives in order to derive best treatment practices and improve patient outcomes. From February 2015 to Present (11 months) Greater Los Angeles AreaSenior Marketing Analyst @ • Iterated to an optimized email content set by serving the customer relevant information on job
opportunities, thereby driving up engagement, which results in revenue generation.
• Modeled behavioral algorithms by demographic segmentation to optimize for high positive engagement with the emails sent. This helps in increasing email deliverability and therefore a higher CTR.
• Performed split tests to iterate to a better site and email content experience by using value per arrival as a key metric to optimize content and site layout. From March 2014 to December 2014 (10 months) Greater Boston AreaBusiness Intelligence Analyst @ •Performed split test analysis between different marketing strategies and tested their statistical significance which identified the best strategy to maximize retention of the customer.
•Modeled a multimedia attribution model to accurately evaluate the gross profit point of products which are used as threshold values in the acquisition of customers through on-line advertisements.
•Performed analysis on refund strategies implemented in order to identify an optimal strategy to maximize net revenue in a subscription based business model. From February 2013 to March 2014 (1 year 2 months) Master of Science @ Master's program in Operations Research at Northeastern University From September 2010 to May 2012 (1 year 9 months) Greater Boston AreaCo-founder @ VP of NUGCC October 2010
•Organized the first case competition that was held at Northeastern University in April of 2011.
•Created an environment where students could share ideas and solutions on various case studies that were being discussed in our meetings.
•Organized and invited professors and people from the industry to share their knowledge at our meetings to give us a better understanding on the topics of finance, marketing, operations and economics. From September 2010 to November 2011 (1 year 3 months) Research Trainee @ •Primary and Secondary Research: Researched journals, articles, interviewed doctors and formed correlations to populate the Markov model with data which was used to calculate the cost-effectiveness of a cardiovascular treatment plan in India.
•Probabilistic Analysis using Markov Chains: Performed various probabilistic sensitivity analysis using TreeAge, which showed us that this plan will be extremely cost-effective because of the low drug costs in the region; this is significant as 70% of the world’s cardiovascular patients will be in the Indian subcontinent by 2015. From May 2011 to August 2011 (4 months) Research assistant February @ •Secondary Research and Mixed Integer Model Development : Researched journals and articles to collect relevant data that was necessary to test and derive a solution based on a mixed integer programming model which was developed accommodating the constraints given and adopting best practices and subject matter expertise from other models in the field.
•Process Optimization: The mixed integer programming model was used to optimize the spraying strategy used to control the spread of West Nile disease in the state of New York.
•Analysis and Implementation: Developed actionable results that prevented unnecessary expenditure with the implementation of this spraying methodology. From January 2011 to April 2011 (4 months) Project leader @ •Market Assessment: Identified an untapped market where production of dried fruits using solar/biomass dryers would supplement the income of the rural population in the region.
•Market strategy: Established the production and supply of solar/biomass dryer, thereafter developed a marketing strategy to produce dried fruits with a local organization that had an established supply chain of similar products.
•Business Model Implementation: Commercialized the production of the dryer and dried fruits, thereby creating a new and sustainable revenue and employment opportunity for the indigenous population; this required a minimum initial investment with the initial investment being recouped in 5 weeks. From February 2010 to April 2010 (3 months)
