IT Assistant @ William J. Arendt & Assoc. I am in charge of scanning closed files and making electronic copies of them and backing them up to the server. From June 2009 to May 2014 (5 years) Burr Ridge, ILLifeguard @ Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club I was a lifeguard for two years. In my final year I routinely opened and closed the pool and took on other responsibilities like watching over other guards near my area. From June 2011 to August 2012 (1 year 3 months) Oak BrookiOS software engineer @ Visa I worked on streamlining the release process for our external and internal iOS products. Using my scripts, we were able to automatically resign an iOS application and change its metadata allowing for easy uploading to the App store or our internal store. This resulted in a dramatic reduction in publishing time and also ensured that the uploading and distributing process was more secure. I also worked on PerformSource, a sales tool for financial institutions. In a short twelve weeks, I took the obsolete app that had been abandoned in 2012 and modernized the UI by fixing a lot of the code smells to bring this app into 2016. Additionally, I also created a number of proof of concepts with a concentration in mobile payments and Apple TV and worked closely with our design studio to expand and improve the user experience of our existing products. From June 2015 to September 2016 (1 year 4 months) San Francisco, CaliforniaCampus Ambassador @ Visa My task was to contact and help recruit new college graduates to work at Visa. I also represented the Visa brand on campus. I would routinely made phone calls to prospective hires to explain what working at Visa was like. From January 2015 to May 2015 (5 months) Champaign, IllinoisVisa Checkout Mobile Development Intern @ Visa I worked on developing multiple POCs for projects entering the development stage and routinely worked with new SDKs, iOS 8 and Swift, and prepared instructional seminars for co-workers about how to properly use these new tools and integrate them into existing projects. My main project included making a POC of a white-labeled small banking application that could return a completely customized banking application to a prospective bank in less than an hour. This framework utilized runtime and build-configurations to optimize performance, application size, and security. From May 2014 to August 2014 (4 months) Foster City CASoftware Engineer @ Google Gboard iOS• Lead the engineering effort on Gboard’s Morse Code keyboard that debuted at Google IO 2018.• Lead the development of a telemetry ingestion framework centered around understanding user journeys and retention.• Built out a yearly plan using retention data based on language and core-feature usage. This was used to set priority for the 2019 roadmap.• Co-hosted an intern in the summer of 2018, and helped mentor two interns in the summer of 2017.• Developed an omnibox based search endpoint to unify sharing expressive based content.• Improved the voice input protocols to use a custom interprocess communication framework using KVO. This reduced voice input delay from 2 seconds to 0.2 seconds.• Taught a 2-day seminar on machine learning to Googlers.Achievements:• DAU grew nearly 4x since I had joined.• Won Product Hunt's Tech Product of the year in 2016.• Won two Webby's in 2017.• Gboard's Morse Code won two Webby's in 2019 San FranciscoSoftware Engineer @ Google Google X• 20% project on an ML project in Google X.• Worked extensively with visualization tools and built a custom front end for advanced data queries.• Routinely participated in product design and UX design From February 2018 to June 2018 (5 months) Mountain View, CaliforniaResearch Assistant @ University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign I am helping design an interconnect architecture to improve communication speeds between two computers. From May 2013 to August 2013 (4 months) Champaign, ILSenior Computer Vision Software Engineer @ Google San Francisco, California, United StatesComputer Vision Software Engineer @ Google • Worked on the depth computation pipeline for the Pixel 4's Face Unlock.• Owned the on-device implementation of the front-facing depth algorithm on the Pixel 4. This shipped in Android Q. https://ai.googleblog.com/2020/04/udepth-real-time-3d-depth-sensing-on.html?m=1• I'm a key contributor on high performance depth computation algorithms that run on the Pixel Visual Core (PVC, a vectorized DSP).• Led a large effort to rewrite the entire algorithm using the PVC's custom vectorized hardware intrinsics and inline VLIW assembly to maximize performance and minimize power.• Improved latency and power by 40% and 46%, respectively, compared to the highly optimized assembly generated by the PVC's compiler.• Created a validation depth pipeline to optimize the algorithm's hyperparameters using non-convex optimization methods.• Developed state of the art image-to-image translation network using an adversarial loss. From November 2018 to October 2020 (2 years) San Francisco, California
