Currently I am project lead for a data migration effort, moving internal sales data from a rudimentary Excel spreadsheet based workflow to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. I am responsible for planning, requirements analysis and gathering and the technical implementation of the solution.
I remain active as a YEN (Young Employee Network) core member, responsible for social event planning and coordination. From March 2014 to Present (1 year 8 months) Zürich Area, SwitzerlandGraduate Business Analyst/Software Developer @ I started at HP in the fall of 2012 as a business consultant graduate in Enterprise Services, joining a small and focused apps delivery and management team. From the start I was involved in the team's biggest project, a Microsoft Dynamics CRM based custom solution. I spent the next year learning about and applying a host of Microsoft technologies such as MS Active Directory, Windows Server, Sharepoint, Dynamics CRM customization and development, Team Foundation Server as well as software testing and delivery, networking, solution architecture from an infrastructure perspective and administration, implementation, ongoing maintenance and support of virtual computer clusters based on VMWare technology. I took over responsibility for Windows Server and application updating and troubleshooting for all three virtual project environments (development, staging and production). In addition, I directly supported the development of the CRM solution as a developer, system administrator and trainee infrastructure support technician.
This project was run using SCRUM, allowing me to gain valuable real world experience with it and making me intimately familiar with this popular methodology for agile software development.
Near the end of my 18-month graduate program, I had the opportunity to develop a proof of concept mobile app for iOS that aimed to offer a smartphone optimized, highly focused extension of the CRM solution. From September 2012 to February 2014 (1 year 6 months) Zürich Area, SwitzerlandSocial Media Specialist @ In my short freelance project at Manifesto Films, I helped create the company's social media presence. I was active in an advisory capacity and responsible for the setup of company profiles on Facebook, Youtube and Twitter.
I was responsible for the integration of their existing film, advertising spot and text content into above social media platforms.
I also acted as a consultant and adviser for the official company website relaunch.
Lastly I developed a solution for the representation of their new social media presence for company email communication. From March 2012 to April 2012 (2 months) Zürich Area, SwitzerlandRollout Technician @ In this summer job I helped carry out a large printer renewal deployment for Rent a Person, contracted by UBS. My responsibilities included the receipt, preparation and installation of new printers, delivered each day to various UBS offices in the greater Zurich area. I also helped my team decommission old hardware and prepared it for transport away from each site.
I was trained and performed technical support when necessary in order to minimize the productivity impact of the rollout on UBS daily business. From July 2011 to July 2011 (1 month) Zürich Area, SwitzerlandStudent Consultant @ During my studies at Boston University, I was employed by the PCSC (Personal Computer Student Center), helping support a large community of students, faculty and staff with a broad range of technical issues. I provided assistance for Windows and OS X based computers, diagnosing and fixing hardware as well as software problems for both desktop and laptop systems, cleaning virus and/or malware infested computers and offering guidance on general software setup questions such as configuration of university email, VPN, calendar, contact and task synchronization and many other university-supported solutions.
