I am a computer science graduate from UC Davis living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I took an interest in programming in highschool and had gained my first experience writing mods for some of my favorite games at the time. I went on to write visual basic scripts to automate document formatting for my parents' business and since then, have expanded my interest both personally and academically.
I recently concluded an internship at SimplyInsured, a health insurance startup in San Francisco. My four months working at SimplyInsured were challenging and rewarding in equal measure and gave me the opportunity to touch every part of a Ruby on Rails based stack. I learned an enormous amount both technically and professionally, through the rapid expansion of my Ruby and Web experience and the further development of my communication and review habits. I also immensely enjoyed working on a product that so clearly helps the user. I would be interested in working on other projects meant to improve health insurance.
I am currently developing an Android app, BusBar (linked below) that I originally built only for my own convenience, but which I am now retooling and improving it to publish on the Play Store. I'm hoping to continue developing for Android once I've published BusBar regardless of whether that is in a personal or professional capacity.
I'm currently living in San Francisco and looking for a job here or in the greater Bay Area.
