📖 Summary
I consider myself to be a positive, intelligent individual who embraces and utilizes change to broaden my skills set and experience. I learn exceptionally quickly and proof of this is how quickly I have progressed within my previous roles, each time starting the team with no prior experience before fast becoming the top performer. My main areas of experience are operations, electronic banking, technical support and project management. In these areas I have managed to rapidly developed my skills and knowledge during my time at The Bank of New York Mellon, SEB, CashFac, Barclays and Bank of America. My long term goal, is to consistently build my skills set to enable me to add value to the service I provide to the customers I encounter, continue to grow at a fast rate professionally as an individual and acquire new skills. I have not set myself a career goal, as I believe you should always aspire to do better and should not put a cap or limitations on your aspirations by deciding on fixed career goals. During my time at Barclays I scoped, planned, implemented and project managed the transition of a broad range of cash management products including but not limited to SWIFT, virtual banking technology, bulk cash, branch based products and BACS across a diverse corporate client base. I managed multiple singular projects up to a value of £1.5 million and was highly commended on the projects I had successfully completed. From July 2013 to February 2014 (8 months) London, United KingdomImplementation Consultant @ Implementation consultant at CashFac. CashFac is a provider of highly innovative tailored virtual banking software solutions which simplify complex cash management and accelerates cash processing across a broad spectrum of the financial industry including banks, pension providers and investment administrators. From January 2013 to July 2013 (7 months) London, United KingdomHead of UK Electronic Banking and Implementation (Merchant Banking) @ Heading up this function for the UK, my role included but was not limited to managing the complete implementation of all new customers (large retail and mid- large corporate) undertaking the transfer of all existing facilities with the customers existing bank (bulk cash, cash in transit, credit cards, BACS etc) to the sponsorship of SEB (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken). I was responsible for all stages within each implementation project, from the initial meeting with prospective customers (in conjunction with our sales teams) to ascertain the customers needs, collating KYC documents for complience and completing the switch over of products and facilities. The major bulk of the role related to the online banking system for SEB's merchant clients. It was my responsibility to provide training to new clients (in presentation form, face to face, which involved extensive travelling), day to day and technical support to SEB's large and diverse portfolio of existing clients and providing system demonstrations to prospective clients. I worked extensively with other SEB sites across Europe to provide first rate customer support. I was also involved in testing new products and services before they were released to our clients. The role involved extensive liaison with all of SEB's merchant clients as well as exposure to other banks, particularly to HSBC services and products, due to SEB being an agency bank of HSBC within the UK. From May 2011 to December 2012 (1 year 8 months) London, United KingdomOperations- Irish Business Support Unit @ As a temporary member of the operations team within the Irish business support unit, I was tasked with approving payments for release into the Irish markets whilst ensuring a risk limitation policy was adhered to. It was this work ethic that encouraged my managers to move me across to the cash team where I fast progressed to preparing and delegating the work for the rest of my new team to process and was the sole processor of the time critical, high value, complex cash products, such as Gilt DBV's and tri-party repo's. This role also included FX processing and the process of time deposits where possessing the ability to work accurately, logically and calmly under pressure stood me in great steed. Within the operations teams I was the only individual across a team of approximately 18 who was trained to work across both cash and trade teams, providing cover to either team in times of sickness. From July 2008 to October 2010 (2 years 4 months) London, United KingdomCustomer Advisor @ Starting off my banking career within a call centre for the Woolwich, my capabilities soon outgrew that of the contact centre, which then saw me move to the Woolwich branch network, which subsequently merged into the Barclays branch network.
