Responsible for leading a globally distributed team (8-10 resources/$1M budget) within Prudential’s Annuities Information Technology organization to provide Workforce (organization design, change management, diversity, and learning), Communications (employee engagement strategy, communication content development and governance) and Resource Management (employee sourcing, resource inventory, space planning, and reporting and metrics) for 550-750 resources/$125M. From August 2012 to May 2014 (1 year 10 months) Director, Human Resources Consultant @ Human Resources leader responsible for Prudential Annuities Information Technology, Project Management, and Oversight and Administration organizations. Partnered with the COO, CIO and Dept. VPs in architecting organization transformations, resource engagement strategies, organization and leadership brands, employee relations, and execution of HR and talent processes for approximately 800 resources/$140M From January 2010 to August 2012 (2 years 8 months) Director, Human Resources @ Held several globally focused Supervisory, Project Management, Individual Contributor and Consultant roles within Morgan Stanley’s Human Resource HRIS, Performance Management, Work Force Effectiveness and Learning and Development organizations.
Greg's responsibilities included cradle to grave execution of Morgan Stanley's performance management processes, assisting with the integration and implementation of a vendor based performance management and LMS application, defining new business processes and multi channel communication strategies to support enterprise wide human resource programs. From 2000 to 2008 (8 years) Manager, Partner Affairs @ Member of and project manager for a Human Resources team whose client base included the domestic partnership. As a project manager, Greg was responsible for increasing the effectiveness of Partner communications, making reccomendations to harmonize post merger legacy partner policies and business processes, and defining requirements for a post merger partner distribution (compensation) application. From 1999 to 2000 (1 year) Specialist, Global Human Resources @ Roles & responsibilities included supervisory and individual contributor positions within Accenture’s Metro New York, Americas, and Global Human Resources organizations.
Greg joined Andersen Consulting (Accenture) as a HR Generalist responsible for 400+ Administrative Resources (HR, Admins, Finance, Marketing, Tech Support, etc.) deployed to and within Accenture's Metro New York offices. During his tenure, Greg assumed roles of increasing responsibility, developed best practice HR programs, and led the integration of two independent business units. Upon Greg's departure he was a Human Resource Lead for the Client Financial Management organization and responsible for managing the HR activities of 500+ resources in the US, Canada, and Latin America. From 1996 to 1999 (3 years) Human Resources Generalist @ Greg cut his "HR teeth" at Newbridge Communications and fast tracked through positions of increasing accountability. Upon his departure from Newbridge Communications he was directly responsible for the HR activites of 500+ employees and assisted location based HR Leads with an additional 1,200+ employees in NY, NJ, CT, and CA. Greg built a foundation of HR skills in this role and had responsibility or assisted with all aspects of Human Resources (organizational reviews, promotion, compensation, benefits, RIF, etc.). From 1994 to 1996 (2 years) Proprietor @ Please note, the time frame for this experience is 2003/4. I moved this experience to the end of my profile to allow for my HR experience to be grouped together.
Greg and his Wife, purchased and repositioned a neighborhood liquor store into a boutique, customer-centric wine shop in one of the most prestigious areas of the country. They increased sales by leveraging their networks and fostering new relationships through corporate sales programs, customer aquisitions, and enhancing customer relationships. Greg and his Wife sold the business for a significant return on their investment and Greg views this experience as a means to acquiring true P&L responsibility as an HR professional and a valuable contribution to his professional and entrepenurial development.
