Basic responsibility, whilst restructuring both businesses (relationships, governance, revenue, P+L, output etc.), was to stabilise, improve and reform to significantly, safely and sustainably reduce asset cost of ownership whilst optimise operational fleet availability, capability deployment and value from the Alliance for all parties. From January 2010 to August 2011 (1 year 8 months) Head of Support (Eurofighter Aircraft Multi Nation Partnership) @ Accountable to Vice President Support, my leadership role was to bid, win and safely deliver (incl. P&L) engineering led Through Life Support (TLS) for the 5 Nation (UK, Germany, Austria, Italy & Spain) Fleet of 200 + aircraft i.e. across the 5 main european air bases safely deliver an international asset management service - asset configuration, exchange, repair and upgrade. Basic responsibility, with a 50% cost reduction challenge, was to keep the increasing 5 Nation fleet flying i.e. double flying availability at half the cost. Overall, representing the 4 Industrial Partners (EADS-Spain, EADS-Germany, Alenia and BAE Systems), I was the Industry lead with the Customer (NATO/NETMA representing the 5 Nations) for current and future international availability based asset management including exchange, repair and upgrade From 2007 to 2010 (3 years) Head of General Systems (Tornado Aircraft Multi Nation Partnership) @ Accountable to Director Aircraft Availability, my leadership role across a large part of the Tornado Business was to safely deliver in partnership with the UK Royal Air Force (RAF) & industry across UK, Germany & Italy, innovative performance based asset management solutions to safely increase aircraft availability yet reduce cost by ca. 40%. With P&L responsibility for six value streams (~AUD$800M), key accountabilities included leadership of Tri-National teams, delivery of business winning strategies & innovative On / Off RAF Base operational availability solutions / contracts across 80 suppliers in UK, Germany & Italy, and implementing robust business management to deliver to cost, schedule & quality. From 2005 to 2007 (2 years) Head of Project Management and Deputy Platform Director (Aircraft Carrier Alliance) @ Accountable and deputy to Director Platform (Thales person), I was the senior BAE Systems person in the Thales part of the Alliance.
