I'm a young, ambitious and very hard working 26 year old based in South Manchester. I’m highly motivated and I desire to continually develop in my career. I have been working in construction for the last 9 years in various sectors, and in various parts of the world, gathering a vast amount of experience and skills for my age which I look forward to offering. From August 2014 to July 2015 (1 year) Manchester, United KingdomOperations Manager @ After working as a supervisor for the above Queenstown based company for a couple of months, I was offered a job as company Operations Manager. I was in charge of coordinating labour and materials between jobs, ranging from $1000 - $1,000,000. The number of active jobs, at any time ranged from 8, to as many as 27. I made sure all H&S regulations were adhered to and held meetings with contractors, architects, engineers and local authorities to make sure all jobs were carried out in the correct manner, on time and on/below budget. I was used by Waterproof Structure’s sister company Rhino Building on their larger refurb and repair projects to help control site management. Rhino Building mainly acted as a main contractor which helped further improve my experience of managing multiple trades at one time. I also introduced the use of Google Drive for daily reports and other picture related apps, this proved to make progress reporting and end of month invoicing, much more efficient. From December 2012 to March 2014 (1 year 4 months) Roofing Contractor @ I worked on various roofing projects whilst in Australia: from commercial sites in major cities such as Melbourne and Perth, to working on government projects in the rural outback and on the Torres Strait Islands off the coast of Papua New Guinea. I took on jobs via principal contractors and sub-contractors; going through the tender stage, working to a lump sum and hiring my own staff. From December 2010 to December 2012 (2 years 1 month) Single Ply Roofer @ I started my single ply roofing apprenticeship with this Glasgow based company at the age of 17. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with HSR and worked hard towards achieving my Level 2 NVQ after 2 and a half years on the job. I then went on to run my own jobs before taking the opportunity to move to Australia.
