I owned my 'bossiness' at an early age when I realized that a bunch of girls playing flag football needed a plan they could execute. So I took charge. By 25 I was an administrator and at 30 an Executive Director of a human services agency with 40 employees. At 35, following a dream and a passion, I sold everything and went to film school with my sights set on becoming a Producer. I chose Vancouver Film School because it was a intensive, immersive program that would allow me to have a very hands on learning experience. Skills I have found invaluable when working with production crews around the world. I produced travel series, independent feature films, corporate videos and documentaries before combining my desire to create change with my love of film making by joining a media strategies firm. After a decade of success in that capacity, I began to be bothered by a lack of clothing options for people like me. And I felt compelled to fix it- so I started a clothing line and named it TomboyX.
