I make things. I'm an engineer and a designer who spends most of his time learning new ways to build something great. I have a long history of front and back end development with a complement of experience in branding and design. I am social, working collaboratively with other developers excites and challenges me. I am a believer in sharing across disciplines where rules of design begin to complement patterns in development. I build extensible simple interfaces with long term usability in mind. And, I love what I do.
Engineer and Master of Sea Creatures @ From November 2013 to Present (2 years 2 months) Senior Application Engineer @ I leveraged Backbone and Require to build modular front end code that could be used across all of SpinMedia’s properties. From May 2013 to November 2013 (7 months) UI/UX Designer @ I developed and implemented specifications for an API to work with our point of interest content. I leveraged this to develop and implement the specifications for a client facing CMS that let users curate and manage collections of businesses and locations. The collections could be used in our city guides platform that was available on the web, iOS, and Android.
I developed and implemented specifications for a configuration management tool that let the user define the entire front end of an application through a nested list interface. The configuration worked with our other products to build out iOS, Android, and web based applications with similar presentation and functionality.
I iterated on the AccessNetwork's guides platform to build a richer front end experience.
I iterated on the VIBE.com front end implementing new product specifications. From May 2012 to May 2013 (1 year 1 month) Web Developer @ At Dealery I was responsible for building a new CMS to manage the sites pool of aggregated deals data. The CMS made it easy to add new sources for data aggregation, add unique filters to each data source, edit and publish new or aggregated content, and it featured a email generation tool that allowed for prioritization and targeting of our daily deals email.
I was also responsible for iterating on the sites front end. I built a more flexible search and filtering system with a variety of presentation options to enhance the user experience.
Dealery has been overhauled and is not currently representative of my work. From June 2011 to May 2012 (1 year)
